Instance lockouts are now account wide

I did two deadmines runs on my shaman, and then I did three runs of stockades for guild shamans on my paladin, and the paladin was locked? Have instance lockouts been made account wide now or something?

you didnt want bots, did you?

Happened to me too, I did two runs of RFK on my paladin, then I boosted a few guildies for corpsemaker, and I was locked out when I switched back on my pally.

I thought instance lockouts were account-wide this entire time, since the beginning of time. Am I missing something here?

Before this morning’s maintenance it was character specific, not account wide. For example, you could do a lock out of SM GY herbing, then switch over to another toon to do some DME lasher farming, since the lock out were independent. Now, the lock outs are shared, so being locked out on one, means all your toons are locked out.

Crikey.
Classic has been f’d over hard.

I don’t really ever recall that. Must be new for BC or something because it has ALWAYS been account-wide. 5 instance cap, per hour.

always been this way

It used to be a 5 per hour lock on each character and a 30 instance lock that was account wide.

Like, I remember the 5 instance per hour on the WHOLE account, though. Like before the 30 instance lock. Oh well, guess I was very careful about it LOL

It is currently 5 instances per hour for the whole account.

So I gathered from the post.

I wonder if this is to balance having the day lock out removed for pre-patch/TBC release.
