Installation stuck on "Initializing"

I use kaspersky antivirus and as far as I can tell I can’t even find the gamefirst on my computer anywhere.

well im glad i didnt buy this game and found out you cant even download it with the 3 day trial

Disabling third party antivirus often doesn’t work. Nature of the Beast type of thing. To test that it isn’t Kaspersky taking a dislike to the launcher it would need to be completely uninstalled. No issue as Windows Security instantly takes over.

First try the standard Kaspersky removal:

How to remove a Kaspersky application

Test afterwards. If issue is still there then use the Kaspersky removal tool:

Removal tool for Kaspersky applications (kavremover)

Read the instructions. You will need to save some information to re-install after running that tool

I am also doing a fresh install and it is stuck on Initializing. Tried everything on this thread. Very disappointed. Just paid a chunk of money and resubbed and running into this crap. Keeps initializing at (2145571/2145571) over and over again.

Click in battle.net.
Beta.
Then restart computer.
If it works just go back to normal after.

Beta mode isn’t working either…

Ok, it was stuck on Initializing and I shut down all Razor apps and Nvidia Experience. Shortly after I got a notice that the game was installing! Woo-hoo!

Hello,

I just managed to start the download.

I tried figuring out what was the issue.

A: Its holidays thus there is a queue to download the game

B: More people tends to use VPN thus have the same IP address; would Blizz server not allow new download to a specific IP address if that same shared IP address is already downloading from another account?

I went for option B.

Thus, I:

  1. Deleted the file installation of WoW through battle.net
  2. Disconnected the VPN
  3. Waited for battle.net to resume connection
  4. Started the installation anew from battle.net, but this time with my own IP address

Download finally started!

Good luck!

worked for me,too! Thank you so much!
