Inside each Hyper-Compressed Ocean

Inside each Hyper-Compressed Ocean are two gnomes. One is named Toby. The other is named Toby. Both gnomes are named Toby.

For those wondering what this is about, it looks like Blizzard uses two NPC hitboxes within the Hyper-Compressed Ocean that the Hyper-Compressed Ocean toy summons. Ordinarily these NPCs are invisible, but you can “see” them if you have Belbi’s Eyesight Enhancing Romance Goggles equipped. You know, the goggles you can purchase from the vendor at Brewfest that turn all the NPCs on your screen into male gnomes if you’re Alliance. Blix’s Eyesight Enhancing Romance Goggles are the Horde equivalent and will presumably turn the hitboxes into female orcs instead.

Interestingly enough, I believe the existence of these hitboxes is why you’re able to stand on top of the fishing orbs if you jump just right; you’re effectively standing on top of an invisible NPC!

No real reason for this post. I just thought it was some neat trickery revealed to us by none other than beer goggles!

That is so weird lol. So there could be invisible gnomes at the center of all lifes mysteries?

I have reason to believe a lot of things in gaming fall into this category.

Gnomes in our oceans. What is the world coming to?!

Here’s the thing: They’re not gnomes. The goggles just made them look like gnomes, so the question remains:

What do the NPCs inside look like?

I can answer that, won’t be a cool answer though I’ll just look up the NPCs models, just need their names

That top gnome in the picture looks like he is having so much fun!

BOOOING!

It’s a quilen!

Maybe we’re not ready for the answer.

I thought OP was joking with that name
Was thinking of the show ‘Roots’

Try “Hyper-Compressed Ocean Target”

Lol, yeah, it’s just a stupid reference to Undertale and some motivational image that quickly devolved into a meme:

This can only be bad news.

They usually use rabbits. To the point where these invisible mobs are typically called “bunnies.”

That’s really cool info actually. It’s always neat finding out little things like this. Reminds me of all the test NPCs Bethesda uses in their games.

I now need to go and try and bounce on top of one, to test out the veracity of this dwarven discovery.
