"Insecure scripts exceeded execution limit for addon ..."

Hello all, weird technical issue here I can’t find anything on in the forums or google.

This error is manifesting itself for every add-on I have installed. It only occurs in raids, and I’m questioning if it’s an actual hardware issue manifesting as a software issue. I have to /reload after every pull which is not fun.

I can disable every addon down the line (between pulls in raid mind you, which makes this hard to troubleshoot and play at the same time) but the same error will just apply to the next add-on.

What happens is combat will start, then I get that error, and the raid frames will stop updating and snapshot so I can’t see who’s actually missing health (as a healer) or dead.

I will get “Insecure scripts exceeded execution limit for addon TradeSkillMaster” so I disable TSM. Then I get the same error for the next add-on, I will go down the list and have everything disabled and still get that error.

This is on Classic Era 1.159.9. I’m running Windows 11 ver. 10.0.26200.8875. Hardware is i9-14900, 32GB system RAM, and a 4080 12GB, with driver 610.88. Windows was fresh installed about 3 months ago.

I have wondered if this is a local hardware throttling issue which causes the CPU to bottleneck for short periods causing WoW to return that execution limit error. I’m not getting throttling limit (monitoring with ThrottleStop). I have all graphic settings set to low/1 and am in DX12 mode, but every graphic enhancement feature is turned off.

Anyone have any ideas?

Have you done a UI reset? Including Cvars? Turning off addons does almost nothing, so it’s not a great troubleshooting step.

I will backup the config and WTF etc. and do a clean reset of the classic_era_ folder and try this out. I won’t know until I get into another raid maybe tonight or tomorrow. And I’ll do a /console cvar_default too.
