To make it useful why not introduce scrolls to randomly port you to an specific area of the world.
Would be a nice tool to get around while doing m+

Don’t inscripts make vantus runes / weapon runes?
Inscription lost the majority of its usefulness (in my opinion) when they gutted glyphs. They’ve tried having them make staves and some trinkets, but it never really seems like… enough.
Inscription should allow you to make melee weapons into caster weapons. Or vice versa.
Change the stats around, change up the animation - fun times. :3
Inscription has always felt like a profession in search of a purpose. It feels like it’s enchanting adjacent and I’m not sure how Blizz can fix that.
Give the players the ability to write books they can publish.
It just takes time and effort. If you’re gonna troll, you’ve gotta work for it.
They needed to add more cosmetic glyphs. They got 0 this expansion.
On my realm, you can get more public work orders through inscription than any other profession because people who are trying not to fall behind on their professions need at least two draconic treatises per week
I still don’t understand why Blizzard stopped making these.
You’d think they would have learned by now, that customization and cosmetics are king.
I agree. I took inscription back in the day specifically for the ability to make glyphs. They took that away and Inscription has been pretty pointless since.
The few things they added in DF is a small start, but it still feels that it is a lot of effort for very little return.
Scribes make the Draconic Missives to set secondary statistics on crafted gear, the Draconic Treaties for profession specialization points, and made my Evoker an item level 447 off hand; I think they’re plenty useful as is.
Maybe one day Blizzard will remember that Glyphs exist. Rogue has what, 4 or 5 glyphs they can use?
They did that actually…in legion and I think the item to do so became a toy at one point. Turns out those random romance novels you’d find were written by an undead author who teaches you how to write your own if you had inscription back then
