Turns out dumping all my inscription points into fauna runes is a complete waste of like 80 points. Fauna runes override windfury and flametongue weapon which is obviously a waste. I hope it will change in the near future but I doubt it. Hopefully other shamans see this and don’t waste their time on it.
Weapon augments (stone, poisons, oils and now runes) have never stacked with the imbues

I would like to know the logic behind not letting us use the new weapon runes or sharpening stones/oils. Rogues can poison their weapons and use the augments freely but Shaman are excluded, I know its a relatively small boost in comparison but it still feels kinda wrong.
