Anyone else like me where I become very frustrated over picking a main that you end up losing all will to play the game completely? Like, there are a bunch of classes/specs I am interested in I just don’t want to play like 5+ classes and get absolutely no progress done and to do the same dailies/WQs over and over again, I just want to pick 1 thing and get good at it.

I feel that. I am very much the type who wants to play a single character and get everything done on that one character, a bit of a completionist. But, at the same time I have an interest in several different classes.
I always seem to go back to Druid though, so I tend to make a few alts, but just focus primarily on my Druid.

I have decided that I’m going to play all classes at a casual level but play the most on my paladin. It can be considered my main but I also suffer from wanting to play other classes. So this is how I will go about Shadowlands, should be fun nonetheless.

I’m trying to pick two or three. My issue is not being able to choose one for Horde side.
I’ve been trying to force myself to like some of my longest played characters and it has not been going well.
It’s been hard trying to find the fun vs trying to find the best fotm from a numbers perspective.

You’re not the only one. I’m feeling it too. I only play classes that have access to tank, heal and DPS specs so it narrows it down to Druid, Monk and Pally for me.
But between the 3, I’m completely indecisive.
The thing is I don’t even care about numbers, it’s just settling I cannot do.
This is why I main a Druid; all four roles, lots of utility, travel forms, interacting with objects/NPCs while in flight form, etc…
I really want to like Druid, but the only spec that feels complete to me is resto. I like the theme of Guardian, but I always feel like I am missing something when I play it.

Guardian can be a bit bland, its very straightforward and in my opinion the easiest tank spec. So it might feel blah to people used to more complicated ones.
I do really love all the spec’s though. I tend to go Feral or Guardian, but I just tend to prefer melee.

I swore on everything I would main enhancement shaman in SL because one I love my mog and two I love shaman.
right now im hating enhancement, BUT I may switch to ele and play ranged for once.
if not, im going back to warrior… A G A I N

I can’t stick to one toon. Rather I juggle 4 classes simultaneously. 3 of which can tank because I refuse to wait in more that one character’s worth of dps queues. I thus play 9/10 specs interchangeably so its very hard for me to get bored with all of that. Until I do and I add a 5th end-game class. The only spec I refuse to play out of all of that is hpal because I do not subscribe to the notion of a melee healer. If the heal spec isn’t ranged, i’m not interested.
yup me. i kinda decided somewhat on what i want to do though. DPS instead of healing. rather deal with the headache of finding groups vs dealing with bad dps/tanks. that was one reason i quit healing.
problem now is im stuck do i possibly go hunter just to main it once in my life and because i like the pet taming/bows or do i just go make a new mage because i dont want to spend idk $30 to race change this one which has been my main since WoD
problem is i feel slightly attached to this mage because i spent a LOT of money on it faction changing and race changing over the years and ever server changes. i’d say i spent maybe at least $300 on this toon alone. other problem is i don’t like the idea of having 2 of the same classes on 1 server on the same faction as well i mean to me it’s kinda pointless but if i do make another mage i will likely keep this one and see where the heritage armour goes.
other choice is make a lock. not a huge fan of warlock type classes in any game tbh mostly due to like the lore i guess but i don’t mind playing em. pretty hit or miss for me i rather play a mage but i got that OCD thingy.
likely will main mage again.

My main was decided years ago. This guy. I started the game as a mage, but shortly before Cata ended I began to really work on my hunter, though I had been playing him every chance that I got since I made him in Wrath. Then after MoP launched I decided it was time for me to switch mains entirely. I love playing my alts, but this is my main and always will be.
Frost DK main/Blood DK tank, SPriest ranged DPS/Disc Healer, Sin Rogue just to screw around here and there. Im old. I like the simple FDK spec. Blood is fun, always has been. Ive been playing these two specs forever. I love SPriest even though it was painful to play in Legion early on. Disc is something Ill play to heal here and there but I dont plan on playing it much. As a matter of fact, Ill probably play the Spriest sporadically as well as the Sin Rogue. I used to play everything but over the years I just want to focus on one class since I dont have much time to play as much as I used to.
Thats what I play. Been beta testing everything. Cant stand any other classes. I really, really wanted to go back to Enhance but I dont like it at all anymore.
The worst is the fact you can’t even pick one right now because we all know they won’t be able to balance Covenants+soulbinds+legendaries etc…and what ever else there is to add into the pile so until I see numbers in shadowlands I can’t pick. Even the pre patch rankings don’t work because the azerite traits are drastically changing classes output that won’t be there in shadowlands.
I’ve never switched mains so I can’t relate at all.
