Insane in the Membrane

Achievement tracking says I still need to be honored with Bloodsail Buccaneers even though I did it a few years ago, have the Avast Ye Admiral achievement, and have since repaired my reputation with the goblins.

When I contacted support about the issue, they said there’s no way for them to confirm if I was ever honored with Bloodsail and that everything is “working as intended.”

I know some other people have had the same issue.

Any advice or workaround, or do I just have to grind the rep all over again?

It’s a little annoying that the achievement tracker cuts off and doesn’t show the entire progress, but the GM assured me that everything is “working as intended” because it’s a secret achievement.

Update:
I finished this achievement today by grinding Steamwheedle rep in Tanaris. Writing to confirm that the achievement tracker (below) is inaccurate and shouldn’t be trusted.

If i remember right, you can get the rep up as far as even fully exalted, then you pop down into a little bit of some world PvP, kill a few of the guards and all that progress will get erased and also will no longer be counted. And then when you get it back up things will be a bit glitchy. I am currently working on that stuff very slowly on my warrior.

Hey if Im wrong, just ignore it, But saying that this did happen to me for the reason I just described. Even killing one goblin or multiple ones can glitch your counting of it.

So as I said… i might be wrong in your case. And if i am, just ignore. If I am right then you may want to do some quests again for all of them on the same toon you are trying to farm it out on.

Thank you so much for your reply! This could definitely be the case since I did the Bloodsail rep several years ago.

With all the information I’ve gathered, I think my best course of action would be to finish the rep I know I haven’t completed yet (Ravenholdt), see if the achievement tracker updates to list only Bloodsail, and then grind the Bloodsail rep again.

Just make sure that if you want to do the lower level quests in the old zones that you arent also farming some of these reps as sometimes some of the quests there will require interacting with neutral NPCs that require to be neutral of even friendly to interact with them. I was grinding rep, needed a quest, couldn’t get it until I backtracked… took away weeks of rep grinding in a couple of hours. When I get the time I will hopefully someday grind out all the feat of strength for the reps. Just requires getting both hated and exalted with the same faction for multiple factions. Look into some of that if you are after some cool Feats that not many have. Very time consuming

Edit oh and just to add. Some are required to do all on the same toon even with account wide reps while others are not required to do on just one toon. So either grind them out on your main or your favorite toon. Cuz my main and my fav are two different toons.

Not sure if it’s better to bump a sorta-recent thread of make a new one.

I got Bloodsail and my Gobbo Reps approx Dec/Jan 2020, took a break, then transferred my toon to another realm. This past month, I completed my Ravenholdt and Darkmoon reps but the cheev didn’t ping. Cheev tracking shows Bloodsail and Gobbo Reps are still outstanding, though I know I did them. I reached out to support, which just kept linking me the requirements that I’m already aware of, before finally saying to submit a bug. But it seems there’s already been bug reports. They did state that the realm transfer shouldn’t have eaten my progress, so I am not sure what has. All progress was done on the same toon. Any enlightenment appreciated.
