Would have been really nice to know months ago that id need to do shendralar from scratch. I assume thats just another part of the post that is just straight up wrong, whoever wrote that article needs to get it peer reviewed.

Shendralar was removed in original wrath to cata. Insane wasn’t removed in original wrath to cata and is still achievable in retail today.
The whole post has errors, they also forgot to include achievements such as ‘Did someone order a knuckle sandwich’ and ‘Master of Arms’ is becoming a FOS.

It was originally going to go away in Cata but there was a massive push back so they left it in.
Well there is going to be a massive push back now… especially with people expecting it to remain in the game like it did original.
Blizzard AYF?! How the heck are you going to announce that it isn’t going to remain in the game 20 days before it is removed?

Actually saturday midnight is the soft deadline because this is the last DMF before prepatch changes all systems including removing the wotlk achievement system.
Kind of sick only 5 days of notice.
Yeah… xD that puts a hell of a rush on DMF. WoWhead states there are two faires left. But… there’s really no clarity on the header for this either. …Do we lose it on the prepatch, or have one more faire?
It’s just ridiculous. A little more heads up if you’re choosing to go this route would have been much more appreciated. Especially when people made the (LOGICAL) assumption that it would continue as it did the first time around.
The entire post is full of mistakes and lacks several things that are supposed to be removed or made Feats of Strength so they probably just had some literal who throw it together and posted it without anyone reading it.
Whether they bother to fix it is one thing but I doubt Blizzard is going out of their way to do the work of removing the achievement.
Can we please get clarification since retail still let’s people get the feat of strength even today. 5 days notice on DMF ending for people assuming it would follow the retail cadence is not nice.

In contrast to modern WoW, Blizzard has decided to remove the ability to earn Insane in the Membrane in Cataclysm Classic.
I mean, I am currently doing the rogues deck method which doesn’t need to have DMF going
Like, if they would have announced this like two months ago I would have grinded it out… but now there isn’t time alongside everything else that one might want to do…
Like doing the AQ questline 3 more times… or the farming of the 100 of items that will be unavailable for Xmog if you don’t get them right now… that isn’t even including SoD stuff…
Maybe if it was the summer and I was 14 again…
It really sounds like they don’t like it being easier with shen rep going away and darkmoon faire dailies making it easier. We had every indication that it will follow the same path as how original WoW went, and now we are blindsided with 1.5 months of time to somehow finish the rest. If people want to grind away on the achievement, they should be allowed to, not restricted to somehow being a prestige title for doing it before the darkmoon faire/shen rep changes.
People who have the Insane achievement already prob prefer it this way since it will be more of a prestige title. But so many people who are in the middle of the grind are just screwed over with the suddenly short time frame which nobody had any indication of coming. My opinion is that it’s too late to announce this and just let it stay for Cata, and get rid of it after Cata with ample time frame if they want to. All the other achievement changes and mount changes we already expected and is in line with how it went the first time around.

FOMO things are so dumb to me when there is no reason for it.
Like… the events going on right now or the prepatch stuff being FOMO cool… You can’t reproduce that… but everything else like for example the remove of mounts from ToGC instead of them being a low drop chance like Invince and Mimiron’s head… is stupid.
Even if they were like ahead of the curve mounts it wouldn’t make sense because with the tech we have it could be replicated… Like they do it for challenge modes in MoP

guess i need to spend a few mil to get the last like 30 decks i need then… was planning on finishing the dmf rep in cata making cata decks but guess its not going to be possible if they really are removing it.
Waiting really didn’t pay off.
I got all the decks I needed during naxx and it cost about 12k, and I made about 95% of that back when disenchanting them into crystals.
I ultimately don’t care if people get a brain rot achievement post nerf, but, y’all did have 18 months to do it. Longer technically if you did it prior to Lk. These reps have been out for a long while.
