Insane in the Membrane Achieveable in Cataclysm - Proof

I can confirm that the Insane title is still attainable in Cataclysm Pre-Patch. My hunter is my new main and I did the achievement on my warlock in TBC. imgur com/a/XoM37VN (fix the link if you want to look since I cannot include them in posts)

Really glad Blizzard kept to original Cata and didn’t remove the achieve, so if you were currently grinding it out or worried it might be removed and didn’t feel like going for it, do it! The Feat still mentions Shendralar, but it is not required as my hunter has zero rep with them. Note that I did decide to keep Bloodsail rep at Honored the whole time, instead of using the cloth turn-ins to fix the goblin rep faster. I would recommend the same route and not risking it.

You can use the Link button in the editor or wrap your links with grave marks ( ` ) (typically left of the 1 key with Tilde)

so `my link here`.

Also, they already said the achievement was still possible  Gratz on getting it though!

Oh thats good to know! I hadn’t seen where they explicitly said it could still be attained, I only saw that they removed some of a blog post about pre-patch that said it would be removed.

It was never going away in Cata. But there’s an extra feat of strength if you did it prior to Cata prepatch due to Shendralar now being gone and no longer included in the requirements.

do you have a guide on how to make it to suggest us? would love to do it =)

Good to know. Im reall close of getting mine.

There are a few guides out there from O.G TBC all the way through Cata for the Insane, nothing has really changed at all! The order I did it in was this:

  1. Enable War with Booty Bay and kill guards until Honored Bloodsail rep
  2. Kill syndicate mobs in Durnholde Keep until you dont gain rep with Ravenholdt, then turn in Heavy Junkboxes near Tarren Mill (5 per turn-in) for 75 rep each until Exalted. Best place to gather these is with a rogue on Isle of Quel-Danas, from the murloc slaves on the beach. Kill them after you pickpocket them so they respawn with fresh pockets.
  3. Kill venture-co refugees in the Grizzly Hills port PvP area on the boat until you cap one of the Steamwheedle Cartel reputations. Then head to Tanaris and kill southsea pirates, tons spawn there and you can easily farm 3k rep per hour. Do this until exalted reps or if you cap, kill any pirates south of Ratchet to get the last bit of rep.
  4. Turn in darkmoon decks, (make cards with an inscriptionist), and turn them in for 350 rep per deck. Any deck works, classic/tbc/wrath so see whats cheapest to buy/make. This is the expensive part of the achievement.

Rep amounts get boosted if you are in a guild by 10% so keep that in mind! Old guides might cause you to over-estimate how long you’ll need. Ownedcore has an Insane guide from wrath as well as cata if you want some more info.
