There’s something off about how people are behaving in LFG lately, I just finished doing a Timewalking dungeon and about one minute in a DPS shaman called the tank a retard because of the pace he was going at, told him to kill himself, and then quit the instance.

It took us twelve minutes to clear the entire dungeon, even after he left? TWELVE MINUTES. That is not long, that is not slow, and even if it was that’s no way to talk to/treat another player.

What the heck? How fast do you think we’re supposed to be going? How is barely more than ten minutes not fast enough?

This is the wrong side of the forums (Classic) but it sounds like you met a nasty player. Such types thrive in environments where their behavior isn’t kept in check by a self-policing community.

Seems like an isolated incident that’s a clear case of “report and move on.” Everything about what you claim that person stated is in violation of the social contract.
