Inquisition will return

Mandatory Inquisition talent is inevitable.

Honestly, I didn’t mind Inquisition in BfA. It felt better to maintain since we had faster holy power generation off the bat. The haste buff did uplift the rotation nicely.

I wouldn’t mind Inquisition making a comeback.

…As a holy-specific Holy Power finisher!

No, really: back in Cataclysm, I loved it because it helped with damage without being a direct-damage spell; it was great for soloing, totally worth spending Holy Power on, and wasn’t OP. I figured at the time that, if Blizz added a direct-damage Holy Power spender for holy paladins, they’d screw it up somehow, in the interests of keeping holy paladins from doing “too much damage for a healer”. (heh.)

I wasn’t wrong, either: a glyph turned Word of Glory into a spell that was castable on enemies in MoP when Inquisition became a Ret-specific ability, and at first, WoG did less damage than Holy Shock did! They buffed it to do barely more damage than Holy Shock, and its damage was unimpressive right up until Legion. Nowadays, we have Shield of the Righteous as our Holy Power finisher, and while it has its positive aspects as a multi-target ability, its single-target damage is less than the damage dealt by Crusader Strike.

So…yeah. I’d actually kind of like Inquisition to make a comeback on Holy’s spec talent tree, where it’ll do some actual good, and won’t bother anyone else! (Of course it’d do more good if they unprune Denounce, but that’s another story!)

Imagine if inquisition came back as a Heroism for paladins :3

That would be…unexpected.

Same I like it. I don’t understand why people hate it so much. What do they want it removed for just so you can TV another time?

Guaranteed damage is always better then the possibility of doing damage in pvp. Inquisition requires lots of uptime to justify its holy power cost, Templar’s Verdict/Final Verdict doesn’t require as much.

If it costed no holy power it wouldn’t be annoying. You’re using it every minute anyway, why make it cost anything?

It slows burst. Which is nice.

It doesnt slow burst, Its just annoying 4 gcd in before to actually do your burst.

Same thing for Seraphim.
So damn glad its passive now.
Why mage gets to get a +40% damage increase when they press combustion for free while we have to waste 4 gcd, then 2 extra gcd to be at atleast 3 holy power before pressing wings?

That’s what I mean by slows it. It takes more GCDs to get to the burst.

That’s not slowing burst, its still all instant damage back to back. All it really is, is an additional cooldown. Saying it slows burst is like saying the cast time on Chaos Bolt slows burst. You’re still instantly dead when it hits you.
The only real things that slow burst are Damage over Time and multiple weaker hitting ability spread out over time.

Because we are Mages and thus > All others in the Developers eyes apparently.
