I’m thinking of buying a new prebuilt and was wondering if someone could give me an idea of what to expect as far as settings I’d be able to run and maintain a good frame rate
AMD Ryzen 5 3600
8GB Memory
AMD Radeon RX 580
2TB HDD + 240GB

likely only single channel ram in that system, which will be a problem.
CPU and Video card are good, but a 240GB SSD is tiny these days and you want 16GB of RAM.
Okay, that’s a good start. 6 cores, 12 threads, and all under $200. Sweet.
I recommend 16 gb of memory. They usualy go under $100 for 2x8gb ones.
I know nothing of AMD, i just stick with nividia, but reading up on it, it has more VRAM then the Nividia Geforce GTX 1060 by 2 gbs, and it’s under $200? Hmm.
Well the more the merry obviously, but you might want to get an SSD if you are continuing to play WoW. 1 TB runs for under $200. Which is what i use to speed up the loading on certain games i have, and not just WoW.
If you only want to just put WoW on it and nothing else, 250gb for under $50 to $30 minimum will serve you just fine.
3600 is the best bang for your buck currently.
8gb is barely enough, but more importantly, it is likely only single channel with will greatly hurt performance. A 16gb kit of 3600 CL16 is about $70.
RX 580 is slightly better than the GTX 1060 in most games, and has more VRAM. But 6GB is plenty for most 1080p gaming (which is really all you should be doing with either an RX 580 or GTX 1060).
1TB SSD’s, even the QLC models, are around $100. Definitely worth it.
I have a 500 GB WD Blue SSD for my OS, a 1 TB WD Blue SSD for my games and a 2 TB WD Black HDD for backup. I highly recommend it.
