Input on a couple fire mage questions, BiS pre raid:

Im looking at the brewfest trinket and would like some input on the best trinket loadout. Pick 2 of the following 3 for a hit capped fire mage, then explain why:

Quagmirran’s Eye:
item Level 115
Binds when picked up
Unique-Equipped
Trinket
Requires Level 70
Equip: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 37.
Equip: [Your harmful spells have a chance to increase your spell haste rating by 320 for 6 secs. (Proc chance: 10%, 45s cooldown)

Icon of the Silver Crescent
Binds when picked up
Unique
Trinket
Requires Level 70
Equip: [Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 43.
Use: [Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 155 for 20 sec.(2 Min Cooldown)

Dark Iron Smoking pipe
Binds when picked up
Unique
Trinket
Requires Level 70
Equip: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 43.
Use: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 155 for 20 sec.

Crescent and Pipe, because ‘On Use’ is more strategic than random procs

Which do you replace first with trinkets in t5/t6? If its Eye, then Icon/Pipe is better. If its Icon, then Eye/Icon(or pipe) is better.

They’re close enough that I don’t see a T6 trinket replacing one and not the other.

Drop Quags Eye for the pipe. The benefit of chained on use for a full Bloodlust outweighs the random (though frequent) proc on the eye. Also, 6 spell power upgrade baseline.

Does the Serpent Coil Braid’s 225 spellpower on mana gem use stack with spellpower from an on-use trinket is active?

Since you’re not actually using the trinket, rather just using its effect when popping a gem, I’m wondering if you can stack 375 spellpower at the same time.

“BIS” lists would perhaps be better labeled as “BS” lists.

Take the 2 purple trinkets.
