Just to continue posting trends for visibility, there’s a dramatic increase in input lag with abilities since Anniversary patch. This week has been worse
30ms with 80-100FPS, but crazy input lag resulting in missed globals/casts. Typically does not impact movement (I can move/dodge swirlies just fine), but casts just sometimes don’t go off
I’ve tested in Dorn with 0 addons and still happens the same (abilities not triggering or are severely delayed)
/pray for a fix ASAP cause it’s so frustrating and makes the game near unplayable.
thank you i thought i was crazy, i will press mind blast for example and nothing happens and if i repress it 2 or 3 times then it will go off. It is making the game almost unplayable for me as well. do you use a razer naga by chance because i can move just fine but its just casting abilities when it happens
Also getting this constantly. Outdoor world and in raid. Did similar testing to you and had the same problems
Thought it was just me or the lack of haste after ret rework, game’s unplayable for me atm
Same for me, literally unplayable.
Input lag and GCD skips all over the place since DF was launched and now even worse in TWW with 11.0.5
There are dozens of threads on reddit and forums about this issue dating back to 10.0 release and not even once has it been addressed by Blizzard. Is this what we are paying you for?
WoW used to feel so smooth and snappy to play, and now we have this… Such a shame.
I can play, so long as it’s not a Delve, currently I can’t survive above T7 due to this delay in my much needed heals, I main Enhancement Shaman.
I’m getting tired of dying because my toon decided to not caste the heal meanwhile the boss keeps going unhindered.
Haven’t tested this after maintenance today, but I haven’t seen this called out in any patch notes.
Just +1 from me to add visibility to this. This happens a few times per hour to me, and I’ve completely removed cache/interface/wtf folders and run scan and repair, to no avail.
I’m genuinely curious why the lag feels its worst after a maintenance window, when it should be the exact opposite going on.
I’m not sure why, but I had selected my headset as the audio output device instead of the default. When I entered a dungeon, I experienced a lot of input lag. I could hear my own character just fine through the headset, but I couldn’t hear other players. That’s when I checked the audio device again, and it had suddenly switched to “USB speaker” instead of my headset.
I changed the output device back to my headset, and immediately, I could hear other players again. On top of that, the input lag was reduced.
I thought I’d share this as something worth trying. It seems like the system might try to play audio on multiple devices, and even if it says “default,” it could still be trying to use multiple outputs without you realizing it. Disabling unused audio outputs in Windows could also help.
Might not be the solution for any of you, but thought I would share just in case.
