Every 5-10 key presses and the game halts for 1-2 secs before finally deciding on which animation to play and whether you hit your target or not.

It makes the game very frustrating to play at the moment. This only happens playing WoW.

Any word on a fix for this?

You’re going to need to provide more information on the subject. Is it happening right now? During peak times? What servers? What areas are you playing in?

Also maybe post in the bug report forums as an ongoing issue? Just saying there is lag doesn’t really help out.

I have not encountered such issue in the long time, but IIRC input lag is associated with local ping. Things like addons tend to cause this quite frequently, as having TOO many of them can eat up a lot of memory. Or a single broken addon can cause this.

I also remember, looooong time ago, seeing threads on how some chat addons can cause this. Specifically chat addons.

Best I would suggest is copy-paste your WTF/Cache to your desktop to make a back up. Yes, all your addon settings will disappear, but login and see how the game behaves. It is a very tedious process importing settings back 1 by 1, but that’s usually the only way to ID the problem.

Are you addons upto date? I use CurseForge to keep my addons upto date, along with WA client to get my WA up to date.

With 9.1, a lot of uncommon addons would cause me constant LUA errors breaking my UI completely. Perhaps, you got some cool little funky addons back from like WoD era or something

But in my experience, it does not have anything to do with the actual internet speed.

I agree. I have fiber with low ms, and I still get input lag now and then. Only affects Wow. I always assumed it was server load, but addons could be causing it too.

I use no addons. Just move the Character Frames (Default WoW Interface) and change keybinds.

I play on Perenoodle and never had this issue prior to Patch 9.1. I play from the west coast of Canada and connect to the Seattle server farm. World latency 42ms Home Latency 65ms
