Wowhead and icy veins both say sudden death is the best for DPS. But it has a really bad proc rate. You’re lucky if you make it proc once during a boss fight. I think inner rage is way better. What about you guys.
Hit a target dummy for 10 mins with both and let us know what the numbers say
Sudden Death procs all the time for fury.
2 minutes on the training dummy.
With sudden death, 25.8k damage.
With inner rage. 26.4k damage.
On my 52 warrior.
Found your problem. No guide cares about doing zero challenge dungeons on a low level alt. They’re for max level characters doing raids or M+. A lot of the advice doesn’t scale down and a lot of the numbers don’t stay the same as you level up.
Yeah unless youre max level then nothing matters that much in terms of DPS at low levels for most specs. Some talents actually dont work at ALL while leveling but are OP when at max level and geared.
Indeed. Sometimes it’s scaling. Sometimes it’s synergy with other abilities or talents or Azerite Traits you might not have yet. Sometimes it just comes down to fight length, where enemies die too fast at low level for a lot of things to matter.
I’ve heard the haste talent is ‘technically’ best if you can maintain it the whole fight.
I just cop out and use sudden death because execute cleave is meaty and it’s way easier than managing a buff.
Only a nearly pure single target fight. As soon as any amount of sustained cleave is part of the equation, especially with any downtime, Sudden Death is better.
Wrathion, Siktra, Maut, Shad’har, Ra-den, and Inquisitor are your Furious Slash fights. Its viable for Ilgynoth and Drest. SD is the best call for the rest but is viable on every fight.
I can’t think of a single situation where Inner Rage is the right call.
The problem with inner rage is it falls off during execute phase.
Inner rage however is very viable in pvp.
