Initializing...Please Wait

Recently, I have come across the following issue, that being Initializing…Please Wait.

I have, to this point, been up and down the forums as well as going onto other sites such as Reddit and YouTube without proper resolution.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled BattleNet twice. The first time I did it, no resolution. The second time I did it, it brought up updates for Diablo4 and for Heroes of the Storm. I was able to install both of those updates without issue. I have also been able to go onto various Internet sites as well as download driver graphics from NVidia without issue. The problem appears strictly to be with WoW (retail and classic). I was able to launch and play the game without issue two days ago but since then, without having done anything to affect the game, it simply does not get past the Initializing…Please Wait.

I have restarted, shut down and restarted, closed all BattleNet instances and restarted, uninstalled and reinstalled Battlenet twice without resolution, changed the download speeds under Settings>Downloads without resolution.

I am at a complete loss for why only the World of Warcraft related games won’t launch. Need some help. Thanks

see if any / all files in the game folders have the “Read Only” flag (…right click items and go to properties and have a look at Attributes for a tick…) and remove the read only flag and retest the updates on the launcher

Pause and then continue…
That normally works for me, but…
My pre release content is stuck at 99%… Was stuck at 85%.

They have their own forum… They may never come read the wow forums.
