Anyone lately having issues with blizzards DL’s sitting initializing for hours before the actual DL starts? Anyone know of a way to fix this?
SAme as me today. reset everything on my end on on PC that I can. Now it says that there is another game updating. All i did was uninstall retail now its stuck again.
For me it was many updates during the day and they would start off at my full internet speed then slow down to a fraction of it and say a 60MB file that would normally take about 40 seconds to finish would start taking 20+ minutes to download. Nothing else downloading on my end so I know it was the Bnet client. I’ve been having to deal with the slowdowns from Bnet off and on for months now. No other gaming client I have does this.
Yes, taking at least now 15+ mins? I already had 'updates 2xs this week? Why is this download taking so long… this is why I am here because I still have 100+ megabytes to go…and it is very slow!
Now I’m also having the problem of Agent.exe sneaking around flooding my slow DSL connection with something downloading but nothing on the Bnet app saying what it is and I can’t even throttle it in the download settings since it isn’t a “game update”. This started yesterday Friday the 22nd and it’s been off and on the past 30 minutes. Can a Blizzard blue post rep PLEASE tell me/us WHAT IS THE DOWNLOAD AND WHY SO OFTEN?
I’ve been sitting on initializing for the past 7 hours. Can we get a blue answer to this dilemma?
Dealing with exactly this right now. If you pause for a moment then unpause, sometimes that will fix this issue temporarily. Might take a few tries but works for me. Could really use a blizzard employee tell us what’s going on.
Well its now 11 hours and still sitting on initializing!
Make sure you have enough space on the drive for the update.
