Inifinite scanning / updating / possible memory leaks?

It keeps scanning and updating in the Bnet app, occasionally slowing down or freezing my computer.

It also goes back in scanning progress, so it would go from 20% back down to 10% when I restart the Bnet app. It just stays stuck at 10%.

It won’t let me log in while patching / scanning either. So now I can’t log in and it’s stuck in a slow, endless loop of just… scanning.

This is still happening to me. I have to update everytime I open the god darn app. Is anyone Listening?

I’m not sure if it helps but try this:

This does not work.

I notice the Battle Net Agent using 6GB of RAM once … Blizzard really need to look into their launcher.

This issue still not fixed.

The memory leak thing has been an issue for years on Mac. I remember reporting it here on this forum back in 2022 and 2023:

I feel like a 5th grade intro to coding class could do a better job. This bug has been here literally for YEARS and Blizz just doesn’t give a damn. Every time I start up the game – even if it has just been off for a couple of minutes, I have to “continue downloading” and THEN “update” and then “initialize”.

And now there is fresh hell. Now when “updating” I get stuck in an endless loop of producing a “Whoops” error unless I actually quit battle.net, then restart after agent.exe flushes from memory.

COME ON BLIZZ, WTF???
