How deflated was this season in your opinion?
We’ll probably have a repeat of this season where they prop it up.
Last season ended in a good spot (for 3s) and it looks like this season will too.
You can look at % of players with the saddle and when its less than 1% you know there’s a problem 
Blizzard is probably focused on next expansion, this one is done. Shadowlands season 4.
I wonder if they’ll wait to do anything until the ladder stagnates again
Kind of unfortunate how much better it is to afk until the end of the season to push, especially when early-mid season is usually when people are fresh and wanting to play.
They’ll probably have it turned on at the start this time, since this seasons start was specifically stated to be them trying to withhold it on purpose and they came to the realization that it was a bad choice.
But who knows.
Regardless they need to stop characters from getting free MMR through not playing.
Im hoping they realize this season was a mistake, but I havent heard anything. I really wish they would talk about it.
In terms of inflation or whatever? It seemed fine. Crimson shuffle was the exception, not the standard, etc.
Inflation seems fine right now compared to where it was when season first started. I’m assuming it will start out slow in S3 and then increase just like this season.
I don’t think it’s fine tbh. The floor is way higher than any season I can remember, but the ceiling is kinda average season level. It’s less of a big deal for regular 3s but imo it’s kinda screwy for solo shuffle. Like 2.2 shuffle matches still have healers on placement games, but 2.4 is still page 1-3 on the leaderboard for a few specs.
This really is a bit of a wrench thrown into game quality, yeah. Stinks for everybody involved when there’s a 440 ilev guy who hasn’t played the char since crimson in a 2100-2400 lobby.
How is that? 2400 3s is like top 3000 right now.
there’s 30% more people at 2400 than there was last season and we still have 10 days left
there’s gonna be more “gladiators” this season than bfa S2 and bfa S3 combined and doubled
this season is extremely inflated, it’s just not active
100x deflated compared to season 1 . we all want them to reset inflation to what it was in season 1 for RSS i dont care about 2s or 3s those brackets are dead anyway
Regular 3s doesn’t feel weird because healer and dps mmr isn’t different in regular 3s. I was saying that shuffle mmr feels weird because of the combination of high floor and regular ceiling and the big healer mmr swings.

I hope they don’t start increasing after week 5. Feels lame to wait.
Ah, yeah, matches are really funky between healers being paired up or down 400 mmr and there’s so many people in placements at 1900-2300. Matches feel kind of volatile/unstable.
I think it’s something they ought to look at holistically tbh. The fact that the solution is artificial MMR increases contributes to the delayed activity in the first place, because everyone knows how much easier it is to accomplish whatever goal once enough of the inflation has kicked in. Like if the goal of the system is to have a season that people actually participate in other than the first and last three weeks, what they’re doing is not working.
