Ran about a dozen Inferno’s so far. About 1/2 of them people are skipping bosses, and rushing to the end. What purpose does this serve? The whole reason to even be doing Infernos is the fragments.

why skip besides speed don’t you get a bonus for killing every boss as well?

Unlucky, my groups haven’t skipped a boss yet, even did the optional one in Throne of the Tides.
Yeah its weird to skip in inferno, its 5 Fissures for last boss, and 2 Fissures for the rest of the bosses.
either they don’t know or they are of the high ilvl ppl that are just doing it for the valor.

just for the valor probably, most boss fights are like 2-3 minutes snoozefests now

When it comes to WoW always gamble on they are not informed but think they are.
You can exchange fragments for valor, which is amazing.
I’ve run around a dozen of these - haven’t had one group so far skip any bosses
if you’re just doing it for Valor then run normal heroics, they give the same amount and take half the time
Actually… I put this to the test earlier for another read, yes the first heroic rewards 240 VP, but after that it only gives 120.
You will get MUCH more valor for the inferno dungeons.
~340 Valor for every run, depending on how many bosses you kill and exchange the embers for valor.
Because we just want to hit valor cap for the week and don’t care about the frags.
But the fragments ARE valor points…

Nobody with a brain will be trading those for valor until the cap is much higher. Its 7 dungeons to cap. Its a literal waste of fragments even if u have all the bis gear.

Yes, but the benefits do not justify the effort required to support subpar players I ran 7 last night to get capped for the week as a tank. Out of the 7 runs I completed, 6 were filled with trash. At least two of the DPS did under 12k in each run, and every time I tried to initiate a Vote to Kick, it failed. The ilvl requirements need to be much higher people coming in all blues getting hard carried is cringe.
exactly it’s better to save the frags to buy valor cap in the next couple weeks to avoid having to run them.
You can only hold 160 fissures, thats only enough to buy 1 weeks worth of valor anyway. You would still need to run them if you were going to rely on the fissures to hit your valor cap each week.
Yes but the valor token can be stacked and held for later. So there for you can have a few weeks supply.
That still sounds like alot of dungeons. But if you only doing them for valor then I get what you mean.
Edit: Actually I just checked, you aren’t buying a valor token, you are just buying 10 valor. I can’t purchase one because I’m capped.
Nothing else to use fragments on besides Valor.
It’s quite literally the same thing to trade them in now as it is to trade it in later. You simply need to run fewer heroics to reach cap. So take your “nobody with a brain” comment and shove it up yours.
