Haste also lost a lot of value since icecap was turned into a static cdr.
Honestly if there was one thing i really didn’t like about the rework it was that, main reason why i much preferred the early beta version of frost. Significantly more fun.
Still a good spec, but no comparison.
This was a terrible state for frost dk though. Static CDR from icecap is 1000000x better. Having it reduced from crits was a balancing nightmare and bosses that required movement hurt frost dk too much. We would lose uptime and cdr time during intermissions.
Static CDR from icecap is a good change I promise.

It really wasn’t that big of a deal.
And i mean it’s pretty ironic to complain about icecap dynamic cdr when breath exists, like be serious already.
They just needed to make a choice node between a stronger 1 min window, and icecap.
Static cdr was probably one of the few good changes moving into TWW.
Meanwhile oblit still getting drive-by nerfs because devs can’t properly rework the spec and decouple oblit and breath; omni being the meta for raid and m+ makes this significantly worse.
? These 2 things don’t have any relationship and breath does not function even close to a dynamic cd reduced talent…

I’m also not a fan of the current state of breath being basically required… but I’m really not sure of the correlation or how you can jump subjects and just say “be serious”.
No it isn’t, breath is the exact same thing, it requires uptime, and it’s a cde mechanic, if anything it’s actually worse since if you lose the window there is no way to get it back faster.
If you lose some uptime on icecap cdr, you just lost some uptime that’s it, but you can still get a cd reduction outside of it, breath instead, if you lose uptime and lose the window you’re sol. Wait for the next breath window in 2 min, good luck.
Have you ever considered that maybe not everyone likes the same things you do? And instead of preaching about removing something that some people enjoy you should… I don’t know, come up with an alternative solution? Breaths cooldown is stagnant. You are comparing apples and oranges. If you can’t see the difference theres no point in continuing this. All cds and damage are lost if popped at an inappropriate time, the difference is icecap used to lose 2x the value.
No it wasn’t. There are plenty of specs that deal with this just fine, this idea of "too difficult to balance’ Is just lazy thinking in order to justify your own point.

I literally proposed a solution that would have satisfied both, or at least a compromise, that’s literally the only thing you cannot say about me, i always try to propose a solution that satisfies both, and if it’s not possible or not worth the tradeoff, i explain why, and i don’t come up with bs things like “too difficult to balance” When it really isn’t, or at least i go more in depth about it then just some surface level bs explanation.
