Right now everyone is just staying in Ashenvale spamming the same quests over and over from level 40-50. Did Blizzard not realize this would happen? Being able to do them nonstop with no lockout is just crazy. I know Blizzard is nerfing the XP from them come Monday, but people will probably keep spamming them anyway. Why spend time running around Azeroth to quest when you can just stay in one zone the whole time?
This is what happens when Blizzard doesn’t do internal testing and/or a PTR. We get to discover their incompetence in the live realms.
What’s more wild is they added an XP boost on top of this.
They wanted us 50 in less than a day and that’s what they got. Remove the Classic moniker already.
Agreed. A daily quest zone, maybe 5 per day that in total would give you about half to 3/4 of a level would have been very reasonable. We could pop in, do them, then head back to the rest of the world to quest/dungeon etc.
that would’ve been the smart way to do it.
or even weeklies.
Either this or have the event be for an hour every couple of hours similar to how Legion invasions were, with them in a different zone every time. This would spread people out in different zones instead of everyone crammed in just one.
And up the rep gain as well.
I’d love if they were Dailies. Lose the silly sharing mechanic which just takes up bag space and is obtuse.
Just have the quest givers offer all the Missions as Dailies in each of the Incursion zones with a Bonus quest for doing at least one that offers a nice chunk of Rep and XP like the ones we already have in Hinterlands and Feralas. That way they can’t just be spammed and it would get more people out into the world.
The idea is great. It’s a third option for leveling and something to do each day at cap. They’ve helped to clear up the leveling zones and freed us from Dungeon spam but they need to be balanced.
I did 40-50 in like 6 hours and made almost 1,000 gold.
Incursions are the best.
No, please! Retail has become “play by the clock” because of this mechanic and makes playing into working. Or maybe they could give us all timecards and have players line up to get them punched each time they enter…
Unintentionally, you prove their failure. Gratz to you but World of Exploitcraft is unappealing to me.
Wasn’t an exploit.
We already have this with Battle for Ashenvale and Blood Moon.
