Incursion quest area PVP disabled area

Pretty sure there’s many more.

What makes people think was not intentional?
Whether or not it’s the best design is debatable.
I’ve been having a lot of fun liberating different layers.

This isn’t that hard. Put the quest giver inside the nightmare, level 50’s aren’t allowed in the Ashenvale nightmare. They have 2 other portals they can quest in. Self contained, pvp happens amongst the intended level range, bored 50’s can fight other 50’s.

Everyone knows that if you want decent raiders, you have to play on PVP servers.

PVE players are keyboard turning/clicking boomers who will waste your entire raid night just to go 6/8 and say “Ah, better luck next week fellas!” as if they just had a very successful raid night. I made the mistake of rolling on a PVE server once. Never again.

Obviously, no one “forces” you to play the game at all.

But the strongest forcing function blizzard has for content is locking player power behind it.

And there’s a rune locked behind incursion reputation. For some classes, a very good rune/bis rune that represents player power.

So while no one is “forced” to do anything - blizzard has used literally the strongest forcing function they have to make people do incursions.

I’m on a PvE realm and the Rogue rune is mid from incursions so I don’t have a personal stake here - but the argument that you’re not “forced” to do this content is not a good faith argument.

Yeah I like these open world pve events that encourage pvp, but I wouldnt consider killing people who are trying to interact with an npc (therefore helpless) a healthy form of pvp. We could just remove the guards from cities, and allow people to get ganked over and over while they attempt to use the auction house. Nobody actually “needs” to use the auction house after all.

Add some guards at the turn in, leave everything else as a free for all. Everyone will be happy except the griefers, which are a very small population.

Daily reminder that it IS PvP.

The same logic applies, if you want to play with pvp players, players who enjoy taking out the other faction every chance they get, you need to be ready for that. That’s the play style of these servers

Yes, but is it good for the game? I think thats the more important question. Again we could remove guards from cities and allow pvp there, after all its a pvp server we should be able to pvp everywhere shouldnt we ?

Blizzard already did what is right. They made a server where you NEVER have to worry about dying to another players. It’s called a PvE server and you are allowed to play in it.

If your goal is leveling, getting into a big pvp fight with higher level players is not really a good idea.

Yes, PvP is good for the game. Even if you put the guards near the quest givers the raid would just move to the portal or a few paces away. This doesn’t solve the blatant issue. Blizzard made garbage content in a small space and now people are going to suffer. Blizzard being trash is no excuse to get crazy with PvP restrictions. They needed to be less lazy and create cool content and they didn’t.

There are a thousand and one ways to level in the game. I had to temporarily wait on some content because I was weak early on, but it doesn’t take that long to level especially in SoD with the xp buff.

I agree don’t try to fight higher level players. But it’s just temporary

But a group of level 50s and 45s can work together still. It’s only if you’re severely under leveled that you should hold off for a short period of time

If only Blizzard had the foresight to create the type of server that allows for people to focus on leveling and PvE experiences.

a team of troll-devs would relocate the Horde NPC in Duskwood to Grom’Gol.

Of course, but what that does is essentially it cuts off xyz mode of leveling.

At a macro level this is why pvp servers in WoW classic became 95% one faction. People have time constraints. They want to hit their goals.

If you wanted to do the warden rep, you’re kinda screwed

I didn’t level too much in incursions and now I don’t have honored rep.

This is pvp servers too, historically by a large margin.

Blizzard has had to make changes like adding DHKs to pvp servers.

I’m a pvper, but sometimes players get pretty stupid.

Imagine if ST was an open raid, and you could get ganked mid fight.

I think people would be fine if guards were put in at quest giver and people instead got pvped at the portal. That would be real pvp. Not killing afk players at a quest turn in

DKs are considered one of the worst systems that they added to PvP servers. Talk about griefing.

If ST was an open world raid, then yes I’d expect people to get ganked mid boss fight. What of it?

I see groups being formed all the time for incursions, and if you sit in ashenvale there are people looking in chat all the time. Don’t go solo if you don’t think you’re good enough to. Group up with a few higher level players

If ST was an open raid and you could get gankt mid fight, that would be the best possible change to WoW ever. Im all for it

You shouldn’t have made the personal choice to play a PvP server if you were going to avoid PvP.
