We have 3 escort quests where they follow you around to be turned in near the entrance. except… People grab the person and run around the zone with them. There should be a timer or they should run on their own and you fail if you get out of range, its quite annoying going to pick them up and they aren’t there so you run back and dont see them. Then you randomly see a horde or alliance player just running about holding onto them griefing the entire community…

I didn’t realise they followed you. I thought they head straight back to the entrance. That would make more sense.
I guess it’s balanced by the fact that you can AFK at the base of the ramp for a few minutes and get 6 gold and 20k xp worth of free turn-ins.

To be fair, if they didn’t handle the escorts this way it would be nearly impossible to complete.
To be fair, it could be worse and we could actually have to do the quest.
It’s inconvenient and annoying, yes. But at the end of the day you are still getting credit for something you didn’t do, and they don’t even have to be done by your same faction.
It is annoying though, I have been, and encouraging others to kill opposite faction members who are deliberately griefing and nkt turning them in.
I agree, and I definitely prefer this to the Emerald Dream being instanced. But it’s still a lot of XP and gold for doing nothing. I could go from 40 to 50 from just running back and forth between the portal waiting for escorts to automatically turn in.
Ya, but if we didn’t have Incursions we would be seeing complaints like in Phase 2 about being forced to Dungeon Grind because people cant quest because of overcrowding.
And the gold is now about 1g 25s (was 5g a pop for 7 hours on launch) a quest which is enough to buy your talents. 2 quests = 1 talent at your trainer.
they could easily force a timer on people and make it less possible to grief. the way its set up now is perfectly fine, they just need a timer imo it takes like 30 seconds to run them to the turn in. make it a 2-5 minute timer and ez gg
That’s fair, you could also easily do a round in that time too.
