So just a thought that came to me in the shower: Could we not do incremental loot? Most of us know, after awhile the loot that drops from dailies just become useless after you reach a certain i-level.
I mean right now, the only ways to upgrade your gear are Mythic+, raiding, or PvP. If you’re a world player or collector or just someone who just plays, you basically get locked out of upgrading. So why not something that lets us jump on the grinding wheel for a small upgrade. Literally any meaningful reward would help.
Now before the kneejerk “I read three lines and assumed the rest” jump on me, I’m not talking about loot that immediately jumps us up to raider or mythic ilevels. Just small upgrades over time. Plenty of ways to work this idea to help all players.
I dunno. I just feel if I had something to look forward too that isn’t farking anima and ash, I’d actively be playing more. It won’t solve SL’s bigger problems, but it’d be something to help fight burnout.
Warforging/Titanforging was the small upgrade. Alliance Elitist cried during all BFA on the forum. Ion listened and now we have to do harder content to get better gear.
“I mean right now, the only ways to upgrade your gear are Mythic+, raiding, or PvP. If you’re a world player or collector or just someone who just plays, you basically get locked out of upgrading.”
“If I don’t play the endgame I can’t get endgame stuff” lol
I just left your “boosting” thread where you were complaining that people were getting stuff they didn’t deserve. That seems oddly inconsistent with the theme of this thread.
Then you should be happy with covenant gear that you can upgrade through anima WQ to normal raid quality gear? And world bosses, and weekly timewalking, and etc etc.
You’re asking for top-end gear, we all know it and you know it. Stop acting in bad faith.
That’s not accurate actually, just more revisionist history. Valor was always a RAID tier behind, up until MOP, and even then it capped near normal level raid.
