Incremental Loot

So just a thought that came to me in the shower: Could we not do incremental loot? Most of us know, after awhile the loot that drops from dailies just become useless after you reach a certain i-level.

I mean right now, the only ways to upgrade your gear are Mythic+, raiding, or PvP. If you’re a world player or collector or just someone who just plays, you basically get locked out of upgrading. So why not something that lets us jump on the grinding wheel for a small upgrade. Literally any meaningful reward would help.

Now before the kneejerk “I read three lines and assumed the rest” jump on me, I’m not talking about loot that immediately jumps us up to raider or mythic ilevels. Just small upgrades over time. Plenty of ways to work this idea to help all players.

I dunno. I just feel if I had something to look forward too that isn’t farking anima and ash, I’d actively be playing more. It won’t solve SL’s bigger problems, but it’d be something to help fight burnout.

Warforging/Titanforging was the small upgrade. Alliance Elitist cried during all BFA on the forum. Ion listened and now we have to do harder content to get better gear.

Let’s start. Define meaningful.
So other players can come in and tell you your definition is wrong.

Warforgin/Titaforging was completely random. I’m talking about little guarateed carrot on a stick upgrades.

guaranteed will never happen.

If people complain about upgrades of like 1-2 ilevels, then there truly is no hope for them.

Ukhu, dammnit, let me have my pipedreams!.

“If I don’t do any endgame content I can’t get endgame gear”

…do any kind of endgame content.

Where did I say end-game gear?

There should be more to end game content than pvp/mythic+/raiding.

Soon to be followed up with:
“If I don’t have endgame gear I can’t beat endgame content!”

“I mean right now, the only ways to upgrade your gear are Mythic+, raiding, or PvP. If you’re a world player or collector or just someone who just plays, you basically get locked out of upgrading.”

“If I don’t play the endgame I can’t get endgame stuff” lol

I just left your “boosting” thread where you were complaining that people were getting stuff they didn’t deserve. That seems oddly inconsistent with the theme of this thread.

That’s a nice opinion you have. Sadly that isn’t the game you’re playing.

we had it once. we bought things with valor points, remember?

You’re right. It is sad. Blizzard could do so much more than just focus on their “three pillars”.

Dude, you’re complaining about people grinding away for tiny upgrades. Said nothing about big end-game upgrades.

You don’t need higher ilvl for the content you’re doing. 200 ilvl is more than enough to get through any WQ even if you mass pull.

Then you should be happy with covenant gear that you can upgrade through anima WQ to normal raid quality gear? And world bosses, and weekly timewalking, and etc etc.

You’re asking for top-end gear, we all know it and you know it. Stop acting in bad faith.

in wotlk… running dungeons over and over for it.

That’s not accurate actually, just more revisionist history. Valor was always a RAID tier behind, up until MOP, and even then it capped near normal level raid.
