Increasing Renown Restores Conduit Energy in Patch 9.1

Like seriously Blizzard.

Just scrap this whole system, absolutely nobody wants this garbage so stop giving dev time to trying to fix it.

The alternative is having the expectation of changing conduits between every major fight etc.

No thanks.

Conduit energy serves a purpose. Blizzard will never get rid of it, they will however move towards making it easier to use so folks aren’t feeling ‘punished’ by the system.

Ultimately this is how game dev works across most games. Blizzard devs want A, players want B, so the devs implement A and slowly move the design closer to B over time, but never quite get to B.

To have this opinion shows you are completely void of any relevant knowledge of how this raid works lol

They really built up the conduits to minimize player ability to play in different ways. I’m honestly impressed that they are even going as far as having ways to regenerate it faster.

It would be fantastic if they let people switch them out more, but I sadly don’t see it happening. The whole of the expansion is trying to minimize the ability to try out different ways to play on any given character.

It’s completely wild that they’d make a system as aggressive as the maw not having a mount for months to squeeze out players time then also make a system which punishes you for wanting to experiment with new content.

Like there is a very easy way to make people want to experiment Blizzard without punishing them like the Maw, again.

Oh, I know exactly how raiding works. Just because your raid doesn’t engage in this type of garbage doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. I’ve personally seen it even with conduit energy being the way it is, and I’ve left raids because the raid leader has demanded conduit swapping.

Woha that’s so useless lmao

What’s conduit energy?

Already have to head out and switch talents when going from a patchwork to a cleave fight.

And really the conduits aren’t that impactful between the two for me.

And of all the things in the game, it makes the least sense to have any barriers to change conduits. It’s your soulbind, a helper person.

“hey helper person, switch to this set up”

Short answer: It’s a system that prevents you from swapping out your conduits too quickly. You have 10 energy when you get to level 60. Each day you get some energy that you’ve spent back meaning that if you swap too many times, you’ll find yourself unable to swap for a while.

Some people hate it, other people see that it has a purpose. Most of the time the people who have differing opinions don’t get along.

The only people that defend conduit energy are people that are too busy role playing on Moon Guard or Wyrmrest Accord to actually play the game to see why conduit energy is such a trash system.

So… How is that a good thing? If it wasn’t penalizing, you would have been able to switch to a conduit that benefitted the content you were doing, then switch to something else.

Absolutely. The maw is boring as sin, though, I think that the conduits and tying player power to the covenants is worse. I am honestly dreading the covenant specific legendaries next patch, which will undoubtedly make divides between the stronger and weaker covenants much worse. It’s baffling that they enjoy a system that restricts player choice so much.

Conduit Energy : Exists.

Literally everyone aware of its existence : Why tho?

Blizzard is blatantly stubborn just for the sake of being stubborn. Doesn’t matter if 99.9% of players hate something. Doesn’t matter if it’s completely pointless. Doesn’t matter if it adds absolutely nothing to the game or players’ enjoyment.

Some lead dev thought it up, it’s staying. Deal with it.

It’s this bizarre disdain that Blizzard has for their own paying customers that will eventually kill the game. Fun be damned.

Oh thank god, its been 40 seconds since the last “conduit energy is bad” thread and i was seriously starting to wonder if everyone forgot to complain about it today!

Whom would this actually be a thing for?

My conduits are such complete and utter garbage that I’m gonna be scraping the bottom of the barrel just to fill up the new slots with the expanded tree in 9.1.

The people that conduit energy hurts are people who play multiple specs. That means fewer people switching to tanking and healing. That’s bad. For everyone. The system should be dropped.

As they should. Players should constantly and consistently bring up bad systems again and again until it gets fixed.

Yeah, nothing like incessantly moaning about a minor inconvenience until everyones sick of listening to you.
