Increased Concentration costs bug?

I have been making Fierce armor kits for a few weeks now, same skill, same quality items and it costed 71 concentration with an insight. A 34 skill deficit is now 177 concentration. I checked patch notes to see if there was an increase but didn’t find anything other than “clarifying tool tip” about concentration.

I feel like when fixing “clarify the tooltip” they broke concentration. The system seemed to work as intended last week where it used concentration equal to the skill shortfall to reach the next quality of craft.

It makes no sense to consume the entire amount from say bottom of rank 4 to rank 5 worth of concetration when your only missing 11 skill points to the next rank. I have an enchanting recipe eating up a full ~200 worth which would be the skill difference from rank 4 to 5 instead of the 11 I was missing. If that is the case I would stop talenting knowledge points in anything as soon as I hit rank 4 as the increased skill seems to provides no benefit to reducing the concentration used. Presuming you cannot reach rank 5 outright.

Blizz Please confirm/fix before I blast away all my concentration on launch.

Thanks

Can also confirm my concentration costs are suddenly way way off compared to the first 11.0 patch. Missing 26 skill and the concentration cost is 176 to fill in the gap, which wasn’t the case before 11.0.2.
