Out of the last 10 lotus, I’ve failed the first attempt to pick 6x with 1 double fail pick while wearing herb gloves&+5 enchant. This is 310 herb skill.
Now I just lost a lotus because I failed to pick 2x in a row without the gloves on (didn’t get on because of mob aggro).
I picked a lot of lotus before the patch and failing was rare happening maybe 1 out of 6 times on average. Did the lotus fail pick rate get increase with the changes?
No. You’re just experiencing what we like to call Bad Luck. It happens.
Without the herb gloves I’ll average like 3 fails in a row and it’s been like that for months.
Perhaps you were either lucky before to not fail a lot at 300 skill or I was just unfortunate.
I had 4 fails in a row on ice cap the other day because I forgot my herbalists gloves. Was not impressed with that.

ya I’ve been finding when I was just running lotus routes vs casual farming I come across more lotus a day. Probably just RNG but usually come out with a lotus, two stacks of icecap and a stack of silversage in an hour in winterspring since no one picks up the icecap 
I can’t remember the last time I got a successful lotus pick on the first attempt. I don’t have the enchant which is my own fault but this is with the gloves, so 305 skill. Usually takes two attempts. I still get owned in general when it comes to finding lotus, even after the update. I know the spawn points, but I’m on a server where competition is always high. Even if I get on in the early morning hours(like 4am to 8am est) there’s still competition around and my luck in general could definitely stand to improve lol.
Still find it hilarious that prices have risen by like 70-80g compared to the market price just prior to this update being announced, on my server. Everyone was utterly terrified of the market crashing and lotus falling well below 100g. Basically 185g a pop on my server now. More expensive than I think they should be but it’s not hard to acquire that kind of gold these days, just more of a pain than anything else. I love it as a seller, hate it as a buyer who uses flasks weekly.
That’s normal, 300 is same as 310 for black lotus. It’s not failable at 325.
They are orange they can fail. And max fail is twice
I’ve picked exactly 1 lotus, shortly after I hit 300 herbalism, and got it on the first attempt, no fails.
I didn’t (and still don’t) have the enchant or gloves.
RNG doesn’t only apply to gear.
Im a tauren, 325 herb is so damn good, stress free first time every time, i have stolen at least 5 lotus from other horde just because i pick first go, tauren for life!

Sometimes I get 5-6 fails on lotus. I dont have gloves or enchant tho
