As respectfully as I can muster:
It is almost impossible to find nodes out in the zones, due to fast flying, botting, and so many people squished onto a server that tons of people per zone are simply trying to farm. Evenb in vanilla zones, without fast flying, players are competing for mining nodes in vaster numbers than any previous iteration of the game. As a result it is messing with the economy, causing wild fluctuations in prices for all materials.
A solution, to make it feel more like farming used to, increase the respawns of all herbs and mining nodes to compensate for the poor choices of blizzard negatively impacting players.
And the mega server merges are what is causing this issue. The goal of making zones feel more populated hinders resource gathering. So compensate for it. Listen to the players. And BAN the bots!
