I don’t know where this philosophy of getting LESS GEAR is a more enjoyable experience in ANY video game. I played BFA AND YES I enjoyed the loot dropping and enjoying playing Alts and having 2-3 decked out toons.
I haven’t touched an alt this expansion seeing how ridiculously difficult it is to get gear in this game. What makes it worse is that even for mythic 0s you have absolute clowns asking for 190 geared toons to run zeros ruining the experience for everyone else trying to catch up.
Please for the love of god at least bring the seals of wartorn fate back. This is ridiculous don’t make the game only for hardcore players.
If the game starts dieing due to that it will be corrected.
But from what we have seen so far there is a vocal minority disliking the change with support for the change on the fourm. In game thou people complain most I speak to like it.
As such there is no where near enough info to make the statment the game will die and in fact classic is a firm example that it won’t as loot in classic is hard to come by.
As such your statment means little in fact by claiming the game will die if they don’t change it really makes your post look worse vs just making a post with your feedback.
How much loot the game should give out isn’t a static “more/less = better”. Random mobs in the world dropping mythic raid gear would be just as dumb as everything having a 1% drop rate from bosses.
Unless somebody is prepared to seriously argue that point(which this is GD so I’m sure somebody will try), then we’re just bickering over how much loot should drop.
and acting melodramatic about how the game is “going to die” isn’t making you look rational here. This is issue #873479823 that’s going to kill WoW according to the forums.
Personally what I hated about the BfA system is that the game threw loot at you left and right but very quickly 95% of the loot becomes useless scrap, which makes loot feel boring. It’s almost always “Oh look, another epic that I’m gonna vendor/scrap”.
The only thing I think I’d really want changed is Torghast being a path for gearing beyond the legendary, but that’s more that I find that to be more enjoyable than I do raiding or dungeons.
After many players have already quit. People who leave because they are angry over some feelbad change don’t come back anytime soon.
What we have seen is far more players who are unhappy, demoralized, or unsubbing, than the small number who are claiming that they have been unbelievably lucky, and people without the gear they need to play don’t deserve gear and should be happy they are even being allowed to play at all.
I’m not seeing a large bit more complaining than not.
I’m seeing a vocal minority on the fourm in game I am not seeing that.
To make a claim like poron thou that far more players are claiming something needs data which we don’t have. Should be speaking from his experience not as if he has the facts. We have not seen what he claims either as we would include those on the fourm as being used here and that is not what we are seeing as I’m not seeing that in game a such the statement is just wrong.
I have spoken to many returning players, all of whom were happy to tell me when and why they left. When they left over some change they hated, they were usually gone for more than an expansion.
Clearly you are incurious. Let’s see your data. Hint: “I read it in the forum so it must be true” doesn’t count.
The game is bleeding subs atm badly. And those of us that haven’t even purchased SL won’t. The forums are getting quieter because those saying are leaving ARE.
Again where is the data that the game is bleeding subs for that reason and not the normal sub loss after a xpac. You can’t claim the game is bleeding subs without data, furthermore for a specific reason.
Fact is if the game was truly bleeding subs blizzard would be doing damage control and fixing the issue esp if it was a clear specific reason. There are many past examples of this.
Devs are trying to do a full reset of the playerbase. They’ll be doubling down on all the failed changes of the past that they had to revert in the face of bleeding subs and an accounting department that demanded adjustments to fix that. As we often hear in the forums, if only devs hadn’t “caved” when spoiled, lazy players quit in mass numbers, the playerbase would have “adapted” and casuals would have “stepped up their game” and gut gud.
They will get the playerbase they deserve in the end.
WoW has millions of players, you’ve spoken to a majority of them to form an accurate sample size?
You lost me here. I’m going to assume that your grasp of the English language is less than perfect, and that you’re also making assumptions based on zero factual data to try and push a narrative in line with your opinion.
