Hey, everyone!
I suggest increasing fall damage depending on the player’s equipment type.
Mail armor item = 1% armor = + 3% fall damage
From 8 items = 30% armor = + 90% fall damage
Plate armor item = 1% armor = + 4% fall damage
From 8 items = 40% armor = + 160% fall damage
This game needs more physics.

okay, but if I land next to an enemy they are instantly crushed to death.

Agree, but you will need to fall straight on him.
Will be need to add a random flight deviation to the game so that you cannot exactly fall on the point over which you are located.
very appropriate according to the lore. I imagine a giant tauren landing on a gnome “It was a good trip across Azeroth my little friend”

Makes sense. Let’s also add heavier armor types also moving slower.

Ok fine but lighter armor takes more damage in cold environments.
And hunters stealth should such cause chain mail is noisy

Cloth armor is now deleted from your character when you take burning damage.
Because science.
Fire resist? Tailors or enchanters could create special enchantments for clothes to protect items from water or fire, natural factors.
Although it would be possible to make an enchantment to make plate armor lighter.
Okay, but if you’re wearing plate, you sink whenever you’re in water.
No one going to point out the fact that heavy objects do not fall faster than lighter objects? Azeroth must have some crazy physics
Its not about the speed of the fall. The mass of an object means a higher total force from the impact, not a higher falling speed. For example: would you rather try to catch a falling baseball? or a falling bowling ball? The proposed change here would come from inertia.

as long as there’s a fat splash when I hit the surface.
