I cant download the authenticator because I don’t have a cellphone, how do I get rid of this constant reminder when I open up my bags. Looking for an option I can turn off or an addon I can download.

you don’t need a cell “phone.” buy the hardware version or get a cheap tablet.
i got the hardware version cuz you never know when you might lose your phone or something.

you can download a emulator for a android of iphone device, and then in that emulator download the app for the game

You can find them on Amazon I brought one off Amazon couple weeks ago and it cost me like $9 is all…shipped to me pretty fast too.

Does the dumb thing show up even if I get the addon Bagon? I havent gotten it updated yet so I’m just curious.

I agree. It’s super annoying to see the 4 slots locked out, and I dont own a phone so they’re not going anywhere and look bad.
Please give us an option to hide them. That’s my only issue with the pre patch so far.
That or let people with the physical authenticator Just have the bags please.

Thing is they have had the 4 extra slots for years.
I’m surprised not everyone has them already . I learned my lesson years ago and got the authenticator and the sms backup just incase it finally died .

They’ve officially stopped selling them. I have one, but the battery on it is dying. That or there’s an issue with the button. Could be either one. Fixing that … yeah, I’m not even sure I could get the thing open without breaking it.
My cellphone is an oddity that is quirky on what kind of messages it can receive. And the kind that Blizzard would send it is not on the approved list. So I can’t use my cell phone for the authenticator either.
I wouldn’t mind the “bonus” slots, but the fact its obnoxious and in your face is a turn off. “UPGRADE!” No. That’s very much the kind of obnoxious hard sell that many free to play games try and do.
If they provided it as a simple straight forward option in the shop and all they didnt have those 4 lock icons, I wouldn’t care. But, they’ve decided to make it obnoxious. So of course I’m annoyed by it. Previously it was just that little green plus. I could ignore that.

not having a smartphone or tablet of some sort in 2020 is mind boggling to me.
you can get a super cheap used cell phone on ebay. you don’t need a data plan, just one capable of hooking up to your wifi.
or wait until someone develops an addon to hide the bag slots.
and no, china isn’t using cheap cell phones to track your wow account /eyeroll

Think the bigger question is with every thing else that’s behind schedule, why was development time spent on this at all?
