After 20 years the limit of 8 accounts per Battlenet account should probably be raised. This limited number might seem like a lot to most everyone but in the grand scheme of things after 20 years it really is not. Either raise the limit or allow 2 or more Battlenet accounts be connected. If someone has the need for more than 8 accounts and uses more than 1 Battlenet you cannot even use the same phone number which makes it a little difficult to secure the second Battlenet acccount.
If multibox was still allowed with the use of programs that are now banned, I would understand the increase in bills, but today I have difficulty understanding the increase in this limit.
During the Cataclysm expansion when the WoW account manager integrated with battle.net was created, it was possible to associate different game accounts to a single account but I think this was for a limited time.
The multi Battlenet account connectivity was removed in June/July 2024 I think. I do not keep track of dates very well. I understand that increasing the amount accounts per Battlenet account may not be for everyone and luckily it does not add any extra costs unless an extra account would be used. The flexibility of being able to have that/those extra accounts can only benefit Blizzard. I am not a multiboxer and I do not use banned programs but I do have 8 accounts on a single Battlenet due to playing since Vanilla and my own OCD with being organized (I would never keep track of all my toons if I was not OCD with their organization). So yes, this would be personal preference for those who would take advantage of this. But it also would not add cost to those who do not.
