FINAL UPDATE (11/7/21):
- GM is unable to do much here, but confirmed a lot of users have reported this (thanks to those who did!). Issue appears to be impacting the great vault overall not just pvp rewards.

There’s a post in the bug forums about this, please like if you’re experiencing as well.
- I don’t know how much it will help, but please submit an in-game bug (esc → support → far left anub’arak looking icon when the UI loads) if you also are experiencing this.
- I’ve also posted @warcraftdevs on twitter about this issue. Hopefully it’s just a UI bug, but given some of the reports I’m seeing in other areas it seems 9.1.5 broke a lot of things.
UPDATE AS OF 11/6/21:
- GM confirmed their data (internal blizz data) shows my rating as 2096, except I never achieved this rating - we went from 2091 to 2105 in one game. I don’t track every match so womp womp they don’t believe me.
- They blamed addons for incorrect Great Vault UI, but I reset my WTF folder, deleted all addons, etc. and it’s still “wrong”
- Played a game and went up in rating, still seeing Rival II.
- All we can do now is report this as a bug. Please report an in-game bug if you’re experiencing this. You will not get a response, but it needs to go on the devs radar.
UPDATE:
- This issue has been reported to Blizz support by myself and numerous other players
- If you moved up a rating bracket (ex: from rival 2 → duelist) and are not seeing the great vault rewards update, please report this in-game / via the support website
- Include screenshots in your support case of your rating, and the incorrect vault rewards
Anyone else experiencing this? Seems it is impacting M+ as well based on reports in customer support forum.
Hit 2100 on Tuesday (woohoo), but this week’s rewards from the great vault are showing as Rival II (1950) with a message of “reach duelist”.
Hoping it’s just a UI bug. Double checked I collected my reward for the week.

I’m more just annoyed? Plus I have to spend honor to upgrade it 1 upgrade tier when I should be getting the upgraded tier from earning rating.
Further evidence there should be 1 honor, 1 conquest set I suppose…

Nice. I had a feeling something like this was gonna happen to a lot of people.
My vault is bugged too. Hit rival and it says challenger II gear in the vault. It’ll probably be cleared up by Tuesday.

No. The rating to item level gap is smaller now. No need for 2 sets. It incentivizes casual to do more rated which is what it was originally designed to do. The gap just felt cumbersome at first but is much smoother 9.15
same with my feral. got above 2100 but great vault still says ill need to get above 2100 to get better gear.
i dont need anything from vault anyway. just saying its not specific to you.

Latest updates:
- Two different blues have told me I’ve achieved ratings below 2100 (2049 and 2096, though I think the first one misunderstood my question).
- They claim they only see 2096 rating and are unsure how I unlocked duelist.
- Game UI still shows 2105, and my 2s partner has a higher rating than me (2115).
Anyone else have ‘borderline’ ratings like this? We were at 2096 soon after reset, but lost, then climbed back up to low 2090s and got our win to push up ~12-13 points to 2105.
Wondering if blizz’s support team has some REALLY backlogged data…
Are you talking your Weekly Rating says 2105?
Because that’s been bugged all season. You could be right, but that thing has shown your peak rating all season there instead of weekly.

Here’s what my great vault shows.
Both taken last night. Rating achieved evening of November 2nd (after reset).
Did you PLAY a game at that rating? Or did you get 2105 and sit it.
That’s a really good question, and something I was actually thinking about.
We got to 2105 and sat. All prior patches this worked. Does the new system really mean you have to get past the rating threshold AND win a game above that rating?
That’s weird, because I can upgrade my existing gear to duelist, but my great vault reward is showing Rival II.
I know about the upgrades requiring you to win a game above X rating weekly to actually upgrade gear to that rank. Seems odd that I can upgrade my existing pieces to duelist, but my great vault is still Rival II?
Either way, blues who have responded to me have not been clear about this either, but I’ll definitely ask as this is extremely confusing.
Yes, you have to play a game above the threshold. If you lost the next game it still would’ve counted as duelist. It just needs a game in the bracket to confirm it for your rewards.
Very weird, and odd that I:
- Got the duelist achieve (though I guess the trigger for that is simply getting above 2100)
- Can upgrade all existing gear to duelist (though the system says I need 1 game at/above 2100 to do so)
The second part is what is confusing me so much.
Do we have any written confirmation from devs on how this works? The whole system is a clusterf***…
The system is just problematic. Nothing is linear and clear, it’s just how it is unfortunately.
Par for the course nowadays.
Either way, hoping a blue will clear this up (via my ticket) as it seems I’m not the only one confused about all this and I can’t imagine how confused less experienced players might be.
I’ve been as high as 1873 this week and pooped down to 1822. Vault still shows 1600 gear.
