Not sure where to put this - I don’t use the forums much.
There’s apparently an issue where you try to delete a toon (say, a level 10 mage) and it deletes your main (a level 70 paladin)/a character that isn’t the one you selected. I’ve seen it happen to a few people, including a close friend of mine, whose pally is lost to the ether right now.
I have names saved for remix characters I’d like to level before it ends, but I don’t want to risk my level 70’s being deleted with character restoration down for the foreseeable future. Does anyone know when this might be addressed?

Aparently gms may or may not be able to restore buged toon deletion they can open a ticket and hope.

Devs will very very rarely give a timeline. If they say “it will be fixed tomorrow by noon!” and they miss that, users will be up in arms. Just see what happens everytime maintenance gets extended.
This is a pretty serious bug and it’s been acknowledged so they are at least aware. My best guess is that they are actively trying to get this one sorted out as quick as possible. Bugs that affect characters like this tend to get a higher priority.

Just had the same thing happen to me with my main. I’m livid. I was given the alert I could not delete lower level characters on another realm because they had mail and gold in their bags, but took my main and EVERYTHING I’ve worked towards for the past 8 years.

I’m sorry it happened to you! My friend managed to get their character undeleted, hopefully you can (or have done) the same.
I’m still anxious to delete name saves since I don’t know the status of this. I’m surprised more people aren’t talking about it.
This same thing happened to me, and I understand I have more toons to play with but I was working on my 70 Druid for a reason so none of my other toons are even LFR raid iLvl. I put 8 years of work into my druid and I am/was completely livid and devastated.
I was deleting a name save when it happened to me. I would just not touch anything till its fixed 
I had my main deleted while deleting a random character that popped up in my warband. I have put in three separate tickets now and for each one I get a basic fill in the blank form answer telling me to use self help to restore but it’s currently unavailable., and customer service doesn’t have the power to help. It’s now been over two weeks and still nothing. If you know how your friend was able to get their toon back please share how they did it because I would love to know.
