Hi Team,
I’m trying to help with cc’ing the Incorporeal ad because I want to help out and make it through Mythic. But I don’t understand it. I’ve seen posts saying Fear works, but I can’t cast fear on these mobs? Also, shouldn’t singe magic from our imps dispell the mob and thus make the ad disappear. Some help on this please.
Edit: I’m a moron (also know as a Warlock) and mixed up my Affixs’s.
Not a Warlock player here or well I used to back in the day, but that was a long time ago… Anyways, I think I might be able to answer…
For a start make sure you are not confusing incorporeal (last week’s affix) with Afflicted (this week’s affix)… Incorporeal required any form of CC so things like Banish and Fear were ways to deal with it.
Now afflicted is different, the afflicted mobs require to either be healed to full or dispelled but “Magic” dispel specifically doesn’t work on them so it needs to be “Poison”, “Curse” or “Disease”… This part I’m not 100% sure but as far as I remember the Imp can only dispel “magic” type effects so that wouldn’t work on the afflicted, same reason Mass dispel doesn’t work on them.
No, you’re right. I got my affix’s confused. Thank you. I’ll google real quick to see if there’s anything I can do with THIS weeks current affix but from what you’ve said and a quick 5 second search, this ones out of my hands a Warlock.

I would love if Imp dispel worked too. I’d feel like we’d have utility for once, but alas…

It doesn’t work? I have no tried it cause i’m running with a pally tank and him and the healer can do the affix just fine so no reason to re-spec out of demono but the imp should totally work.
You can solo incorporeal with fear + banish, but unfortunately, there’s nothing you can do about afflicted.
If I’m in a key and I’m completely soloing incorp with fear and banish, I’m reporting everyone else in that key for terrorism.

Sometimes you just have to let a cast go off to send a message.
as a warlock you shouldnt worry about afflicted affix, there is nothing you can do to deal with it, you are at the mercy of your party members to fill that job.
