Incorpeal cc question

for those of you who have tested the affix, does the ghost stay cced for the whole duration of the cc used, like for example, if i use turn evil on one ghost, is he going to be cced for 40 seconds or the duration is going to be less?

I’m playing my mage especially this week. I haven’t tested the affix and I know it’s part of your question. My cc (sheep) is 1 min long though the pug groups I’ve been in we’ve downed the trash within that time and the Incorporeal disappears.

Im almost positive the RSham that was Hexing one of the spawns was full duration. I never saw him recast it, and our Warlock would just Fear one as soon as it spawned and the Affix was dealt with.

Another note: It appears to be LoS’able. One cast went off but only the Lock got the debuff.

the duration will be whatever is on the tooltip. cant be broken by damage

and yes it can be LOSd

It’ll last til it disappears provided the cc lasts at least 20s.

For clarity, hoj is only 6s, repentence is a minute and goes full duration.

A lot of good advice above. Just to add a bit, the best I’ve seen deal with it is any class with an instant CC that does not require a cast time (monk paralysis, DH cage, hunter trap)

The cc will run it’s full duration; however, it can be overwritten by a shorter duration cc.

Which means sheep works? I heard some mage complaining.

Shackle undead works fine in the center of aoe. I’ve even dotted a cc add and it doesn’t break. Literally everything works.

Except aoe ccs, so don’t try to blind it.

Thanks, I haven’t played this week yet but good to know.

I swapped blinding light for repentence. Found myself being the only one to do the affix at times. Strongly recommend that our turn evil. Seems this is an affix that most people are going to play the “not it” game with.

I’m not sure this is true, as I saw a ghost in Freehold yesterday already in Freezing Trap that got hit by Blinding Light and the Freezing Trap was not cleared. Even CCs of the same type (e.g. fears) stack debuffs as standard behavior outside this affix anyways; duration was only reduced on subsequent applications but the original was never removed.

It could also just be a property of cyclone and that’s why it got cleared? We definitely had this issue, which is why I switched my cyclone talent to hibernate.

That’s a good catch, Cyclone does do some weird things due to its unique nature.
