Inconsistent latency across servers of the same datacenter

My ping is extremely similar between bleeding hollow, dalaran, and kel’thuzad, however my ping is consistently higher on stormrage which supposedly shares a Chicago datacenter with the previous three according to wowpedia.

Is stormrage just that much more populated or has it moved to the Los Angeles datacenter?

Chicago seems problematic as of late - my connection to Moon Guard has been a roller coaster. Anywhere from 75ms - 900ms - but most consistently around 250ms I gave up doing anything meaningful in the game tonight because it was just too agitating.
