Same, I was playing, logged out for a sec, something updated and now everything is incompatible.
Same here, I got a WoW Classic update then all the sudden all the servers are incompatible
Same problem just happened to me
Same issue here! Blizz please fix
Yes - I did almost exactly the same thing.
Very short “update” to the client which should be called “bork your client update”…
Just happened as well. Logged out to change audio settings, patch hit and now servers are “incompatible”
Yep… just hot home. Small update… now incompatible.
It wouldn’t let me say “ditto” because it was too short, and it wouldn’t let me say “ditto ditto” because it wasn’t a complete sentence.
Now that I’ve played the game your way, Blizz, please fix the problem with connecting to the servers.
Hey, Dótty!
This happens when the game is not fully patched. The best way to resolve this is to reboot your computer, then re-log back into the Battle.net application manually. The Battle.net application should recognize the update. If it does not apply a patch, you can try following the steps below:
No, I logged out and my game patched and THEN this happened
I haven’t updated retail since classic came out. Is this some new thing where i have to keep both games patched-up?
Why would all of us be getting incomplete patches?
I found a previous help thread here on the old blizzard forums, but even after going through all those steps (and even uninstalling and re-installing) I’m not able to log in.
What would case the game to not fully patch? I would like to avoid this in future.
Nope, please try again…
This was caused by an update, not a lack thereof.
Looks like there may have been an issue with the recent update. We are looking into it now.
Thanks everyone for the reports.
Following these directions, I restarted the Blizzard App, and now I’ve got the Repair Tool running.
If that doesn’t help, I’ll restart my computer.
Maybe that should be added to the top of the list of steps, if it helps prevent 5-30 minutes of running the Repair Tool.
Did you guys forget to prepare your servers for the update, therefore running the wrong client? You guys know I can’t roll back your update, right
Getting the same on classic wow, incompatible on all realms
