A lot of addons show up in the list as incompatible. I’ve tweaked the .TOC to the current version (120001), but no luck. Any idea what Blizz considers incompatible?

Anything that doesn’t have a .TOC ##Interface setting that exactly matches the client Interface setting. It’s why the Out-of-Date check exists.
Out-of-Date may be not a thing in Midnight…
It doesn’t do any checking beyond that.
Current retail version (today) is: 110207
Current Beta is 120000 or 120001?

When I changed the .TOC to 120001 the addon was still incompatible. But, if the build is 120000 then that explains it.
Blizz fails again by just breaking everything without any consideration for players. Midnight is probably my last expansion I’ll buy. I’ll keep playing but I’m done with this BS of their changes that don’t make sense and their continued focus on mythic plus nonsense and “dailies” that soak up all your time. This addon incompatible not load at all is just BS and I didn’t see anything about that before hand though I’ll admit I don’t keep up with all the news. But here’s to a week or two of sorting everything out just so I can play again.

Does Blizzard still post an official or semi-official list of which functions are supported? Alternately, is there some reference of now forbidden functions that would cause an addon to be blocked?
I ask because I have a lot of addons that are currently listed as “Incompatible” and they will not load at all. One of my favorites (Torhal’s “Mailminder”) has not been updated in years and I assume is basically abandoned since the author does not play anymore. We used to be able to load out of date addons and see the error message they throw to give us a hint as how they need to be fixed.

Try 120000, it worked for me. Usually it’s in the game’s log in screen, it’s shown as 12.0.0 atm.

Nah theyve been changing it regularly on beta and asking players what they should unblock lol. Nobody really knows what’s doable since there are gimmicky workarounds for some things
You can also check the number under the blue “Play” button on the battle.net launcher. When it says 12.0.0…, the TOC file of addons should be 120000.
When it will say 12.0.1…, the TOC file should be 120001.
…
When it will say 12.1.0…, the TOC file should be 120100.

I built an addon trying to replicate a weak aura function and by putting 120000 in the toc it showed in the addon interface list, but was only compatible when I put 120001, 120000. Hope that helps.
