Playing casual (PVP) feels bad nowadays. If you just want to log in and do a few BGs, you have to wait 15 to 20 min queue and taking into account that there are no rewards for losing after 15 to 30 min fight, it feels like it doesn´t worth it.
Then it would be nice if blizz give 40 conq. for winning a BG and 15 for losing, keeping the cap to 40 conq. per days for doing random BGs but you can get it (40 cap daily conq.) even by losing 3 BGs in a row
3 Bgs are like 2 hs playing, it doesnt have a point of not earning anything if you had bad luck on the team making AI process.
I think this would be a nice incentive for players to queue for BG and would solve the problem that casual players are avoiding BGs and just go to the LFG (arena 2v2 on very low rating) to get conquest points. Wich I find it boring and doesn´t help the pvp comunity.
Many ppl are going to argue about the incentive for winning and they have a point but it must also have an incentive for joining random bgs.
PD: I hope I had expressed my ideas well, sorry for my bad english.
Sorry I’m trying not to be rude here, but we don’t need anymore post about getting stuff for not winning. why don’t they just give the gear to you. The last four, five months have been miserable for me in PVP, but I’m still grinding away.
The horde has been winning a lot more than the alliance I don’t know why that is but getting stuff for losing should never happen.
Should really give some conquest for losing. I’ve lost the last 6 BG’s and its really not fun losing every time. Makes me not even want to join a BG ever again, but if you at least gave me like 5 conquest for wasting time in a BG and getting destroyed, I might actually continue to queue
0/5 on Epic BG’s, huge waste of time
1/3 on Regular BG’s, more time wasted
Much faster to just Arena for the Conquest but I’m trying to do this quest and its taking way too long to get 4 wins…
Okay well then you’re going to get trash people in bgs all the time because nobody decent wants to waste their time with a loss that gives nothing, i’ve already cancelled my sub. Came to pvp and its complete trash, cant even get conquest for farming BGs, takes so much longer than Arenas. It’s not worth the time put in.
At least before with PvP vendors, you would earn honor, alot less for losing, but still you could work towards buying a piece.
The fact that we spend 30-45 mins in some BGS and get nothing but a strongbox with some gold is stupid. I could cap conquest in 30-45 mins with Arenas
But the quest this week is win 4 bgs and I seriously can’t believe how long its taking me, horde are just stomping us most games no contest. We did just win an Arathi Basin, but it was pretty close game
Then why not do that? I have no problem capping conquest without rated content, sometimes without stepping foot in more than a couple of battlegrounds because of how much conquest rains from the sky.
Giving losers rewards encourages “just let them win”, “lose fast so we can queue another” and people AFKing.
My best idea for this is to expand the achievement/statistics system and reward players more for continual personal progress that’s also congruent with the battleground objectives. Hopefully this would incentivize players to join, stay in, and play the battles out in a way that theoretically would put their team in a better position to win, comeback, or even just narrow the gap, while also continuing to practice and improve. Hopefully this would cause players to gain some confidence and experience, rather than resigning themselves to that cycle of queue, fail, quit, and repeat.
They could make all of the current battleground achievements repeatable or expandable like the “of the [Faction]” / “Bloodthirsty”, and players could get currency for repeating them or for reaching a milestone (every 20 flags return, or every 10 bases defended, things like that). Every time you re-earn “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop” or “Quick Cap” you get currency, and it inherently helps your team. I think they’d have to add some things specific to healers and tanks, like raw healing done, healing on flag carriers, etc. But structure the incentives so that currency-farming players would want to stay in the fight no matter what the score is, to get a few more kills, or another flag return.
The idea would be to keep players in the battlegrounds, and keep them participating in the battle so they actually practice and improve, rather than blaming someone else and quitting or losing quickly so they can queue up and either lose quickly again or get carried by a better team. I think this would really help the morale for a lot of players, if the 10v10 stays a 10v10 and you lose what turns out to be a closer battle than you thought, but make some personal progress based on your achievements and statistics that also helped your team not get blown out as badly in the end. That’s way better than a 10v3 with 4 afk, 3 empty slots, and everyone cussing each other out for no gain for the last 10-20 minutes of every BG, which currently happens in a substantial potion of battles, on one side or the other.
It should have been be ramdonna instead. The problem is all of the alts with no gear and so little time to get it. Its sad when bliz has to pacify the crying alts. Then they cap the players who dont have alts. Bliz needs to grow a set of balls and reward the loyal players before they are all gone.
This hasn’t been the case for me. Obviously not everyone is good but I see plenty of decent pvpers. Sorry you had a bad time but giving cp for losing would be worse.
