We know…

California (the whole state) has been under “lockdown” rules for 2 weeks. Blizzard employees can be arrested for going to Blizzard HQ. Don’t ask someone to risk going to jail to help your queue times.

And that assumes Blizzard actually has a fix – to a problem that has never happened, any time in history, anywhere on earth. My guess? Blizzard has no fix.

It’s a problem, but Blizzard is not omnipotent.

Yea because blizzard isnt making them work remotely… Blizzard is notorious for underpaying and overworking their employees… Do you really think they don’t have them set up to work remotely?

This isn’t an issue that has just happened. It started months ago. Blizzard put out paid transfers during MC as an easy cash grab and everyone came to incendius. The que’s on raid night were rough before states began to lock down.

Blizzard put out paid transfers after months of players IN THIS FORUM demanding paid transfers. Every single day.

Your “easy cash grab” theory is just that: your theory.

please continue to white knight for the billion dollar company who has falsely advertised products and treated their customers like dirt.

I don’t know, and neither do you. BUT your idea is correct, and you point out a flaw in my post.

I think it depends on the employee. Some employees don’t have the required equipment at home – terrain modellers definitely don’t. I’ve seen their equipment at Blizzcon. Others can do their work from home.

The only issue is whether Blizzard can “fix” (or at least improve) the queue problem on 3 to 5 servers, and which employees can implement that “fix”, and whether those employees can make that fix from home. None of us knows that.

Please continue to attack the company every way you can. Long live the something-or-other!

But at least don’t attack “devs”. Those are salaried employees. At game companies they earn very low salaries and work many hours of unpaid overtime. Nobody gets “rich” except the stock-holders (and most of them have nothing to do with the game).

So “billion dollar company” doesn’t mean that any person who actually makes game decisions is rich.

To be fair, you are entirely justified to criticize a company that (in your view) makes decisions that hurt players but help profits.

the company that gave you thousands of hours of entertainment?

This is a good point. The devs aren’t the ones making decisions. They’re just following orders and trying to make a living.

Apparently Blizzard doesn’t. You all want the complaining to stop?

ASK BLIZZARD TO FIX THEIR MESS.

Not a theory at all but FACT.

Proof? They are allowing transfers to full server with massive queues.

Okay so you think blizzard just is totally shut down? Not having anyone work? Are you out of your mind or just being willfully ignorant to the world

The company that falsely advertised WC3R? The company who massive mismanaged the launch of classic? Blizzard from 10 years ago… yea that company is dead and the new company has treated fans, customers etc like trash.

Subscribers are bringing frustrations here because it’s our only chance of Blizz actually seeing our grievances and stepping up to address queue problems. It doesn’t matter who is specifically responsible for these decisions, we just need them to listen. Arguing about the hierarchy of a private company is semantics and detracts from the real issue. Our state’s lockdown has affected all businesses and might slow down their reactions, but they definitely still have resources in place to manage their game and get eyes on these forums.
