Incandescent Essence and Discipline Priests

The enchants says “Your healings have a chance to apply Bramble Barrier to your target”. As a disc priest im most of the time targeting the enemy, so it ends up always casting bramble barrier on myself, is this intended or a bug? Please look into it Blizzard, ty.

If you’re targeting an enemy npc your target defaults to yourself, aoe doesn’t count you need to be directly targeting players.

ya but doesnt make sense the enchant for disc priest then lol, we always targeting the enemy to heal

Power word shield, renew, flash heal, penance ???

Id say its half half.

Ive done a full normal run and i havent got the buff on a single target but myself so far lol.

Are you just dps spamming & using the aoe heal on cd ?? Thats a very inefficient way of playing disc.

How would you propose the interaction work? I feel it would be too strong if, like, the lowest health target benefiting from your Atonements got it. There’s a reason it doesn’t work on AoEs.

Doesn’t seem like a terrible compromise to have it always go on yourself if the triggering effect was healing through atonement.

just throw it to a random target that gets healed by you lol, not hard.

I feel it’s just as likely to get wasted that way too… and I always rather know how a thing works than have it go out random and have no idea what to expect, but different strokes.

Of course, I’m biased - I play a Pres Evoker who’s entire playstyle demands I keep myself topped off before I worry about others or I’m healing about -60% less effectively… so I def like things that help me stay topped off. lol

Then it would just say “apply barrier to yourself”. Its supposed to heal more targets than yourself, which is NOT happening when you playing disc.

Some trinket interactions don’t work well with some specs and classes. That’s just the way it is.

I imagined the issue was with atonement healing alone. Like I can see it proccing off a Smite you cast to do damage thorugh healing - where does the healing effect go? You being the target of it seems like a fair compromise for that.

If it’s still applying to you because you’re using mouseover macros while having an enemy targeted to put PWS on an ally… that honestly sounds like a bug.

Im not here to ask for advice on how to play my class. How about you looking for advice on how to play your class instead?

You wanted to know why its only proccing on you & now u know.

Which is literally the matter on issue.

If it works on spell target, it should apply to the main target of your radiance/shield.

quite literally the most efficient way to play disc outside of your ramp?? what are you talking about dude

I don’t know why there’s no ingame text about the enchant, it’s pretty confusing to be honest, i still don’t know what it does for spell casters

Check your buffs. The enchant gives you a buff.

No idea but mouseover macros? I don’t ever “target” a friendly player I have mouse over macros for everything.
