What do you think? Keyword turning.
No,
reason being is that most content requires you to group with others, either through tools or premades / guilds.
That being said, warbands will up the comfort zone for solo players a lot, as you can now have your own bank for all chars and craft from it, while being able to collect transmogs more easy as well.
I am still not sure about Delves, I somehow doubt they will be a reliable replacement for raid content, as the raiders would not like it, if the same ilvl can drop there.
D4 is a very single player driven game sadly, but WOW is far from that in my opinion.
Nope, to do the hardest content in the game you have to group up
Nope. They are just making it more viable for people to spend time playing that way if they want to.
Nope. Well, at least no more of a single player than it has always been when compared to its early competition.
I think they’re doing a pretty good job at improving the solo player’s experience.
That said, the best rewards come from the most challenging group content, and rightly so.
There’s enough room at the table for everyone to eat.
I mean if you don’t do any raids, pvp, or dungeons
It’s pretty single player
I think there is a demographic that wishes it was, because of issues with the community, but those issues are really deep-seeded and aren’t easy to fix.
However, to progress the endgame meaningfully, its very much a multi-player game, but there is a compromise I think with the LFG tool. Developing a community with a consistent group or guild is optional. You can get through any level of content you want virtually by using LFG.
Well yeah it’s been solo player since they added in the dungeon finder and later LFR. Get rekt nerds!
It’s an MMO trying to be a lobby/esports game, the problem with the community is what happens when you try to attract a new clientele at the expense of the old one, and in doing so appease neither.
No. I raid and I love my guild.
I haven’t seen anything suggesting you’re going to be able to solo mythic raids or m+.
Its being given as an option. I guess this is your follow up attempt to last night’s thread.
Everything is still there. Raids, M+, PVP etc. And even Delves is for 1-5 people. But some of us are tired of the group MOVE MOVE MOVE AHHHHHHHHH GOTTA FINISH SO I CAN REQUEUE AHHHHHHHHH mentality. We want to do the quests. We also want solo challenges we can do on OUR time at OUR pace. So it is an optional thing.
Everything you have today, you have in TWW. They just added an option for those of us who dont want to be on your schedule.
No. FFXIV and SWTOR have heavy single player content, the likes of which WoW is just now beginning to implement, and are still very much MMO experiences with plenty of grouping to be done.
Sky will still be up there come Midnight, friend.
No, but let’s dissect the verbiage of MMORPG. It means massively multiplayer online role playing game. that means you will interact, or another word could be encounter, alot of other players during the course of playing the characters we select. No where in the terminology does it say HOW the players of an MMORPG are supposed to interact. We the players CHOOSE how we are going to interact with the “MMO” part. I feel like YOU have made several of these posts lately to just complain about encounters for the players that are outside of a forced grouping situation, and it makes me feel like you dont know the meaning of words and are biased by just YOUR opinion of what the words mean to “you”.
Not really. The bigger contents are still multiplayer, Heroic and Mythic raiding, M+, PvP. The singleplayer options like the follower dungeons and delves are just for people that already play solo 90% of the time, now it can be 100% if they so wish.
No. Is this question because of follower dungeons and delves?
It’s becoming more friendly to solo players, but it’s not becoming a solo player game.
I agree that most of the issues come from the e-sports part of the playerbase. No content except thier preferred version can be allowed to have any equivalent rewards, even if they’re far slower to get. Their whole " I’m FORCED to do x or I’ll get benched" argument needs to be ignored by the devs, hopefully delves will go forward as planned. WoW is no less of an MMO if there is valid content for solo players. RPG has never meant “Requires Playing in Groups”.
Yep, this!
Is it really needed though? Solo friendly is fine, totally okay, I don’t like it personally but whatever, but they don’t need to have heroic gear lol at most they should have lfr gear.
