3+ months and hundreds of hours to hit High Warlord again and were not going to be able to keep our titles?
In Vanilla there was a drop down menu to choose your title. None or your highest achieved. Why isn’t this added in Classic? I’ve put in 3 tickets and each one I’ve had a different response. 1st Yes, you keep it. Its like how it was in Vanilla. 2nd you don’t keep it. 3rd you don’t keep it, that option was added in TBC. Which is wrong, It was in Vanilla.
At some point very early on in Vanilla it was like it currently is. But then later patched to display highest achieved. Isn’t Classic running on a Naxx patch? I had my title in Vanilla around the start of BWL and never lost it.
Is this the private server system or vanilla? I’ve read and was told Classic is using private server data/coding because they didn’t have the data from original vanilla itself so used the private servers data/coding and changes.
I didn’t think they added the title drop down till later. I remember being a private for a while before logging in one day to suddenly be master sergeant again.
You didn’t get to keep your title in Vanilla.

I do not remember when the drop down for selecting your title was added, but it definitely was not in vanilla. TBC at the earliest

But you get to keep your shinies! Or hey. Keep grinding. Show those other noobs who the real HWL is!
The drop down menu was added in TBC.

“You get to keep your highest title” was TBC, as other people have said.
Like most “Classic changes,” this is actually “I remembered it differently than it was and is.”

Same as Scarab Lord title, was not actually a thing until TBC.

I thought all they added in vanilla was you could still buy higher honor gear than your current?
I do not know about the rest of what you ask, but this i can tell you is nonsense.
They are not using some pirate emulator, and they do have 1.12 WoW in original form, intact.
They even compiled and ran both the host and client before beginning the process of transferring the game into a non potato client that does not crash out on a modern PC.
They dont have all of the earlier patches and such intact apparently, but 1.12 they do.

Only in the Before the Storm patch were you able to always display your highest PVP title. That wasn’t vanilla…
The old client runs fine on modern machines, what you talkin bout?
Maybe it does sometimes for some people in some configs.
No it doesn’t, not consistently on all hardware.
On my PC, wow from the original release CD can not even detect the video cards.
From the TBC disc, it does not fair a whole lot better.
Can get video, but then it will bomb out in a very short time with a bunch of video related junk in the log.
It may work on my laptop, never tried, it just has generic intel video
I just dont believe it. They gave us what was most convenient for them.
I have the clients for vanilla and the first 3 xpacs running fine on this PC, weird.

Yes you did.
I still have my Field Marshal title that I got over 13 years ago during Vanilla.
In Vanilla, you could not choose your title. It was locked to whatever your current PvP rank was. In 2.0, you gained the option of choosing between your highest previously obtained PvP rank, Scarab Lord, Hand of Adal, etc.
