Portal mage has got to be the worst FNG job in the universe.
You studied how to rip holes in the fabric of reality and connect them, and your minimum-wage job is to sit there holding the door open to watch the same forgetful guy run through it 3 times in the span of 10 minutes.

Healer would have to be like working FoH in foodservice. Most customers are nice, decent people. Then there are days where its nothing but the parents that don’t watch their kids, and worse, the After Church Sunday Crowds.

They’re probably just conjured beings not actual people.
All the “blue collar jobs” are being done primarily by bots. It keeps material prices low for crafters and keeps goods cheap. If the bots weren’t around all gathered materials would be 100x more expensive, at least.
Everything else is white collar. If you don’t treat it as white collar work, then players refuse to do it.
