But you are just assuming anything that is contrary to what you like is a mistake…which isn’t the case. Would I like Pathfinder to be quicker? Yup, do I want to just buy flying with gold? Heck no. I like earning it and getting cool mounts at the same time, while also it unlocking on every char present and future, vs paying just a gold cost per char.
Also, you do not pay to fly in wow. You pay to access the game which you do. The game doesn’t go the way you want it? Tuff tiddlywinks…
Oh you know, just me and the millions of people who unsubbed after WoD. No big deal.
I literally never said anything about buying it with gold. Try again.
Why are you anti-flying zealots literally incapable of having a discussion in good faith? You constantly strawman and twist people’s words, almost as if you know your position is untenable.
Lmao you act as if Blizzard making less money and the WoW team getting fired because of plummeting sub numbers is my problem.
an agreement or a settlement of a dispute that is reached by each side making concessions.
So really, us still getting flying and Blizz timegating it, is the very definition of compromise. You just do not like it. You are welcome to not like it, but you cannot change a definition because of your sense of self importance…
Those people quit because of the announced removal of flight. People need to stop using that to champion their cause against Pathfinder. While I am sure there is some crossover, reality is quite a few people who quit in WoD are content with Pathfinder.
No but you are the only person acting like his opinions somehow would fix everything, bolstering his own opinion of himself, and looking like a complete self important narcissist by thinking only they are right. Blizz still has millions of subs, and by all accounts we have at hand, they stopped using Subs as a metric of health due to things like cash shop, etc…which makes sense, they have much more avenues for revenue than just subs…which is smart business…diversity is a good thing, unlike some politicians like to say, but thats a different subject
Each side. Each side. Each side. Blizzard didn’t make any real concession. They got the 90 split by making flying monotonous to unlock and take forever.
Which is hilarious because, again, we are paying customers. This isn’t two neutral parties arbitrating over a business deal or something. This is paying customers making it loud and clear that they love this feature, don’t want it removed, and the current system doesn’t work.
Holy projection Batman.
Where did I do that?
Where did I do that?
You just can’t stop projecting, can you?
We’re done here lmao. When is Blizz going to bring back the ignore function on the forums?
Oh wait, you think my original statement was a quote? Are you serious? No, it wasn’t a direct quote. But it was a statement about how pro fliers want to fly without playing the game, because by playing the game, getting pathfinder is EASY. But people act like it is the hardest thing in the world.
But yes, other players have literally said they hate playing the game, at least parts of it that get you pathfinder. They hate questing. They hate world quests. They don’t PvP. But they want to fly, probably to sight see.
“LOL BRUH! HUR DUR!”
No.
When you say
That means you don’t care about the world. Period. I’m not making that up. I’m not creating a strawman.
You know what? I’m done. If I keep responding to your emotions (which you feel aren’t emotions but “facts”) I’m just going to get myself in trouble. Enjoy your self pity party.
Blizzard didn’t want to keep flying into new expansions, but instead they time gated it and made you play it for a while. So really, they did give something and get something.
Hate to break it to you, but you could quit, and WoW would survive easily. Your $15 means nothing to blizz alone, and it shouldn’t, yet you are here shouting more or less like a mad man that your $15 entitles blizz to bend over backwards, and service your every need…You are WoWs Karen!! holy cow didn’t realize it with that hood, but bet you have the haircut too…
I literally never said that. You are literally strawmanning me by defending your strawman by insisting I never said it was a strawman. Oh my god. Is this real? Is the simulation breaking down?
Which no one actually stated. And no one who likes flying doesn’t want to play the game. Almost like… it’s a man… made of straw… Hmmmm…
I have never seen anyone, let alone in this thread, say it’s hard. It’s just boring and badly designed.
Almost like there are a variety of other activities in World of Warcraft that don’t offer rewards… almost like it’s the restrictive, timegated nature people have a problem with…
But that doesn’t fit in with your “people just don’t want to play the game!” strawman so I guess you won’t recognize that, now or ever.
Either you’re strawmanning or not very intelligent, it’s up to you. Because saying that I play a RPG to progress and not have my time wasted by things that do not help me progress, especially when those things are literally designed to pad out the time it takes for me to progress, has nothing to do with “not caring about the world”. Notice how my ire is on Nazjtar but not Mechagon? Almost like those zones are completely different in design philosophy.
Players don’t say a company (Blizzard) can’t make money, players say, “Stop lying to us.” I’m starting to think that Blizzard is instructed to lie. How does a company lose its integrity like this and not care that they’re losing it? The answer is always money. The ends justify the means. The potential of making money through deception is greater than having a good reputation in the market because there are few alternatives. I’m surprised about that actually. How, after 15-years, is there no solid competitor to World of Warcraft? The company than managed to take that throne would pull so many players over.
As has been stated almost a million times there is the game Ion plays and the game the rest of us play. If Ion does not think people in Method and new players are not using the same spec guides then I am not sure what to tell you.
New people are told to goto the same sites that the professional writers goto. I promise you every single Paladin will funnel into one Covenant and the same with every single other class.
People will quit in mass when some genius decides to nerf the most popular Covenant ability enraging entire classes of players.
We have seen this story OVER AND OVER AND OVER again. Covenants in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM should be rewarding Action abilities that affect any form of content.
Blizzard is just asking for a massive backlash with this ungodly short term thinking.
FFXIV is pretty damn close. But it comes down to sunk cost fallacy. People have invested over a decade into these characters, their accounts, their collections. It’s why people will bend over backwards to defend every stupid decision this company makes. If Blizz goes under, if WoW is shut down, they lose all that time they put into their accounts.
There are many, many companies that make decisions that cost the money. Patchfinder is one of them.
Look at the increased frequency of store mounts tied to game time released in one calender year alone. They are trying to off set lost subs and token buying with whale purchases.
Patchfinder is not sustainable and it is a sloppy way to reward players inconsistently with the level of time investment followed by time gating that investment at an unknown time table.
Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. People like you have been complaining, saying blizz doesn’t listen and is going under since TBC. No one cares what you have to say Karen, you can’t speak to the manager.
I’d not even bother trying to talk with him. Instead of dealing with actual comments, he tries to derail it by attacking your statements (as you’ve already seen) by calling them various types of argument fallacies. He has no real argument, his is all emotions, yet thinks he’s intelligent because he can twist your words into thinking you’re twisting his words.
It’s pointless. I’d recommend not feeding his ego by replying to him anymore.
I have been playing 9 plus years and have three accounts. I expect now I won’t be purchasing the expansion at all and whether I even keep playing will depend on what kind of mess they made of the old content.
Pathfinder and no flying is not just a minor annoyance - the delay literally turns the game into something totally unenjoyable.
With the current iteration of pathfinder, time gating is as much a part of pathfinder as rep grinds are.
Sorry to reply directly to you, because it’s more directed at everyone that keeps making the statement of, “ I don’t mind pathfinder, but the time gating sucks.”
So, as it seems to me, there aren’t a whole heck of a lot of people that are completely happy with the current state of pathfinder. I don’t like any part of it.
