I wouldn’t mind mob tagging being removed from quest mobs such as the bosses like Kreenig Snarlsnout. Normal mobs should keep the Vanilla tagging system. It is rather obnoxious watching 45 people circle up around 1 mob with a 5 minute respawn timer.

Or they can save some time and just import retail wow with expansions disable and only azeroth. Then im sure you will all be happy.

Just because you don’t want to compete for tags, doesn’t make it degenerate.

When ppl are setting up macros and spam clicking just to complete a quest, it is degenerate.

Competition breeds skill. It also creates tension which is good. If im falling asllep im not having fun.

Spamming a macro isnt competition rofl. Waiting for a tag on 1 mob for upwards of 15 minutes is far more sleep inducing than getting the tag and continuing your questing journey

You’ll never get my Sarkoth tag you savages! Also don’t wait around for one mob. Kill 30 mobs in the spawn time and you’ll have closed the exp gap of the incomplete quest. Standing around isn’t a good time

I enjoy competing for quest mobs during server launches, especially in OG WoW. I realize it’s not for everyone but it only lasts a week or 2 so you’ll manage.

I bust the bad boy out specifically to rip tags because sinister strike is instant and ain’t no way I’m waiting for 30 minutes for some goofy ah bad quest design to finally maybe work for me once when I can just force the tag to be mine and move on lmao

Maybe if these named kill quests were designed to not bottleneck massive amounts of players, players like myself won’t find means to screw over other players, but, goofy ah quest design is indeed goofy ah

Funny thing is, ppl keep saying “it is only bad for a week or two”…Yea in normal servers, it is going to be a cluster F all the way to 60 this time because they are gate keeping leveling. Everyone will be bottlenecked the whole way making questing miserable

I’ve never had issues doing quests and leveling in contested areas and I’ve never used a macro for tagging mobs.

I once saw a guy kill Sarkoth twice in a row while other people were waiting.
